Popular Post _young1 31
I never tweet at recruits... However some probably like the occasional "hope you come here" tweet. But I have seen 2 arguments with Jordan Cornish on twitter from husker fans! 1 from somebody I think posts A LOT on these forums. What is the point? Do we need to make it tougher to recruit here? We don't need to explain to recruits they don't fit in to opposing teams offenses then call them "touchy" when they don't agree. Or tell them they won't fit in at husker nation because of there twitter attitude. Let coaches coach and recruiters recruit! Keep your tweets to yourself! Rediculous. ajb5856 1,045
Good points. I don't get it either. Especially in this instance where even though all signs suggest a certain school is his favorite and his choice...a decision hasn't been announced yet. And even once it is announced, just stupid. He narrows his choices down to 3, comes here on a visit to check out what is offered, has enough wherewithal to make all 3 visits before he makes a decision, and then he picks one school. Nobody should fault a recruit one bit for doing that, let alone argue with them regarding issues and details they know little, if anything, about. jaimes2000
Norm Peterson 9,682
Are we talking about lanigan/balkdog or the moose dude? Either way, yeah, we've kind of touched on this already. Hopefully that lesson been learned. But just as recruits and players can say stupid things on twitter, so can fans, obviously.
_young1 31
I've seen tweets as recent as a few hours ago... I just don't understand why arguing with a recruit seems like a good idea at all.... This is my last post on the subject, hope it will be some peoples last tweets... jaimes2000 and NeHoops
nuled2dance 130
Yeah never argue with a recruit. I just tweeted him support just now as he has a big day wish him the best and good to see some hype for brother martin mybold school today. Sadly it sounds like mom and dad loved NU. Jordan though wants to play with Rashad and the unlv people were negative towards lincoln in general and really showed him a VIP time. Now I just hope he realizes that he can't afford that lifestyle in college all the time and should come to Lincoln;)
lanigan123 10
I rarely will tweet at a recruit. However, I asked Jordan how his game compares to Rashad Vaughn, it wasn't an argument at all.
nuled2dance 130
Jordan is also into social media and is influenced by hype is what one of his high school coaches. Hence why you see a ton of UNLV people tweeting him. They were told to do so as Jordan loves hype. Crazy that kids like that stuff so much. End of the day..facilities..academics..and future development should be what matters...not parties...tweets and weather....hoops is played inside FredsSlacks

Huskerpapa 4,746
I will take it one step further, why is anyone even tweeting a recruit? huskerbaseball13, jdostal, doc1394 and 2 others
atskooc 1,955
I will take it one step further, why is anyone even tweeting following a recruit?
lanigan123 10
I usually only follow once they are committed. I follow Hammond and tarrin smith. They ask for votes for player if the year etc, I only looked at JC when in his topic people were posting his tweets. It's very interesting to see the types of players we recruit. 49r 7,390
Yeah, following recruits is disgusting. I've done it a few times but forget it. Waste of a twitter timeline.
Brandon4Real_X 29
I only recruit a recruit if I got something nice or funny thing to say such as CORNish to the CORNhuskers would be cool

However, I asked Jordan how his game compares to Rashad Vaughn, it wasn't an argument at all. Not trying to bust your balls, but I think he took it as sort of a challenge, like you were saying he's not going to get playing time there because he'll be playing behind Vaughn. I don't remember the exact quotes and I'm not going to go looking for them but that seems to be the way he took it.
nuled2dance 130
Its the truth though and something jordan should consider. Brother Martin costs to much for him to make such a poor decision as vegas. Sadly I see him going for the bio Vegas bubble they and Rashad sold him. Hope I am wrong as his parents really loved NU. UNLV put on the party band had plenty of people texting and tweeting him to feel like a star.
Section_316 26
I feel like their are far greater issues in this world than diehard fans following or tweeting at recruits. Isn't that the purpose of twitter? If someone doesn't want the attention they can make their profile private (petteway) jdostal
lanigan123 10
I asked him prior to knowing they were close, u seriously was just wondering how there games compare. I personally like the 3 man they signed a lot. I think he needs to go where he can grow as a person.
Cookie Belcher 266
I only recruit a recruit if I got something nice or funny thing to say such as CORNish to the CORNhuskers would be coolThanks for tweeting that to him. You are doing Gods work.
