Thanks Kansashusker, good to know they did well.

I also had heard Friday night Jessica Shepard was tearing it up at the Boo Williams Nike tournament in Virginia so I dialed up Jess Shepards team on the computer yesterday morning and watched her All Iowa Attack team dismantle a good Miami, Florida team. I tell you what Jessica looked like a woman among little girls. Miami basically had no answer for her. I lost count of how many times she got the ball out on the wing and drove the baseline for an easy lay-up. She rebounded well, shot from the outside well and even led the fastbreak a few times. All Iowa Attack played a 2-3 zone defense so never really got to see her in a man defense.

Fun to watch, as a result of her AAU play this spring Hoopgurlz now has Jess bumped up to the third best player in the 2015 class.

Jessica's teammate Whitney Fuller on the All Iowa Attack team has given Iowa a verbal and she hit like 4-5 three pointers in this game. Another one of Jessica's teammate is Jaycee Bradley from Norfolk. She played a good ball game also. Haven't heard too much about her but if she keeps playing like she did yesterday she's bound to get some offers sooner or later.

There is an archive of one of Jess's games at http://www.highschoolcube.com/organizations/all-iowa-attack-girls-basketball-ames-iowa

Looks like highschoolcube is going to be streaming a lot of the NIKE EYBL League that All Iowa Attack plays in.

Here is a rundown from the Tournament.

All Iowa Attack went 3-2.  Lost to Georgia Pistols (62-45) and Fairfax Stars (52-43). Defeated Carolina Flames (71-63), Georgia Metros (67-32) and Miami Suns (60-53).  The Miami game is the one linked above.  The Georgia Pistols have Asia Durr the 2nd Ranked player in the Country.

Individually, three players averaged over 20 per game.  Marina Mabrey of Exodus/Epiphanny Prince put up 23.6 while Kelly Koshuta of Fairfax averaged 21.6 and Jessica Shepard of All Iowa racked up 21.4 each time out.  The field goal percentage category wasn’t defined by a minimum number of attempts but worth noting is the 30 for 45 effort of the Midwest Elite’s Tori McCoy which translates to an impressive 66.7 percent. Destinee Walker of the Central Florida Elite connected on the most threes at an impressive 50 percent bringing home 20 of her 40 attempts.  Again, from three there was no minimum attempts for three point percentage but highlighted efforts came from Gym Rat teammates Tiarra Murphy (9 for 12 – 75%) and Darby Maggard (10 of 14 – 71.4%).
