Hey, how'd you embed that tweet!?!

http://board.huskerhoopscentral.com/topic/2172-pinnacle-bank-arena/page-3#entry28900

It's easy.  Just about as easy as posting YouTube videos.  No, you don't need to have a twitter account to be able to do it.

Here's a quick and dirty tutorial...note, the URL's in my example below have had the http: part stripped outbecause the dang noparse UBB tag doesn't seem to work here right now....DIMES!

Say there's something someone tweeted that you want to embed in a post here, first you go to their twitter feed (we'll use Coach Miles as an example here).  The URL in your browser will look like this:

//twitter.com/CoachMiles

Next, find the individual tweet you'd like to embed.  In the upper right-hand corner of the tweet will be a time stamp.  It'll say "3m ago" or "6h ago" or "18 Apr".  If you click on that, you will be taken to a page that displays that individual tweet and it's corresponding conversation thread (if there is any).  The URL there should look like the one above but it adds "/status/bunchanumbershere".  It would be like this:

//twitter.com/CoachMiles/status/324671833980940288

Just copy that link and paste it into a post, et voila!  You have posted a tweet!

Ah, yes.  Couldn't find that one and I knew I wrote some half-assed tutorial so I found that one.

We have a noparse ubb tag?!?!?

Don't know if this board supports it, but yes, there is [noparse], I've used it elsewhere.

'Bout damn time. Took him long enough. Mom flies all the way from Ni-frickin-geria for him to commit and he holds off? If I was his mom, I'd beat his ass for that. Kid, I flew all the way from Ni-frickin-geria and you gonna think about it? This here nice man gonna offer you a scholarship to start on your masters' degree and play basketball and you gots to think about it? You better sign your name on that dotted line right now, son, or we're about to have a problem. Mm'hmm, that's right.

He wanted to wait to announce until after Georgetown's banquet.

Shows he is a class act. That is being a good repectful teammate.

While Ayegba/Smith won't make you forget Sampson/Olajawon, think of a front line of Ayegba-Smith-Pitchford. This gives us SO much more size and versatility, can't wait to see what Miles pulls off next.  I'm guessing one of last two scholly's goes to a JUCO wing who can light it up.

It also gives us more depth... something we've been lacking since the Nee era.

At least we know that Moses will become an instant success. I can't believe it took a lot to convince him to leave the most elite college basketball conference in the world. ;)

Yeah, and we know from 'Requiem for the Big East' that the 'real' Big East conference died a year ago. So, in reality, Moses Ayegba & Kenya Hunter were together for 3 years in the powerhouse 'real' Big East (then Ayegba spent last season in the Big LEast). :D

I wouldn't expect starters' minutes for Ayegba, even if Moses were to 'start' the ballgame. I'd imagine a three-headed monster in the middle w/ Pitch & Smith also w/ playing time at the 5. Ayegba will be an enforcer who could have a short or long stretch of minutes in the range of 12-20 minutes per game depending on the matchups down low.

Hope expectattions aint to hi. He got a 7ft wingspan but da brotha couldnt get much PT even doe Gtown lacked post depth all year.

Why wouldn't there be high expectations?  Of course my definition of a high expectation may differ from yours.  I expect him to provide solid minutes, be a great team player, playing within the role that is defined for him.  I expect him to guard the post, and protect the paint.  I expect him to set terrific picks.  I expect him to rebound, and even if he does not get the board, I expect him to box out the world.  I expect him to score when the opportunity exists.  I expect him to improve his free throw percentage exponentially over his past few years and I expect him to score five to eight points a game.  I expect him to make his teammates better.  And finally I expect him to be a good citizen.

I do not think that those expectations are exceptionally high.  I believe they will be acheived quite frankly.
