Didn't McKnight start his career at Iowa State?

Yup.

Is McKnight a graduate transfer or will he have to sit out one year?

He will be eligible immediately, but there's some talk that he might turn pro instead.

Is he that good?

From what I understand, by turning pro, the reporter meant Europe.

I don't see Vooch on the list - must be an oversight. Can't imagine trying to compile that list, would take a lot of work.

Also it doesn't say (Will graduate) after Biggs' name - hopefully that's an oversight too.

-

And this list shows just how tough it is to find a 6-9+ graduate transfer like Ayegba - I only see 4 others who could end up at NU, one of whom is Lee who already has committed to Ohio St. Horford obviously isn't eligible to come to NU, so, besides Ayegba, that leaves:

  • Alex Gavrilovic, 6-9, F, Jr., Dayton
  • James Johnson, 6-10, F, Jr., San Diego
  • Jeremiah Kreisberg, 6-10, F, Sr., Yale
With all of the schools looking for this type of player and such a small pool, it's nice to have a tie to Ayegba with Coach Hunter. I'd be more than happy to have Ayegba here next season.

I would like to see Nebraska land Moses Ayegba, Stephen Domingo, and Justin Martin.

Ayegba and Martin are grad transfers, so that would give Nebraska 4 scholarships in the 2015 class (5 if Petteway goes to the NBA after next season).

If Ayegba comes to Nebraska, then they have a connection to Domingo through both Kenya Hunter and Ayegba. Both Domingo and Martin were 4-Star prospects coming out of high school.

Northwestern is in the mix for Sean Obi, a 6-foot-9 forward who will be transferring from Rice, according to sources.

A native of Nigeria, Obi averaged 11.4 points and 9.3 rebounds for the Owls, who went just 7-23. He led Conference USA in rebounding last season and has three years of eligibility remaining.

Duke, Vanderbilt and Virginia are also in pursuit, so NU coaches figure to emphasize an opportunity for major playing time if they can get the wide-bodied Obi on a campus visit.

He will have to sit out next season unless he gets a waiver from the NCAA.

Northwestern has two scholarships available and is eager to sign a fifth-year transfer to back up or complement center Alex Olah.
