This is a huge blow for PSU. He's out for the year.

Feel bad for PSU coach. It's SO hard to make it at bottom feeding program in a tough conference. He goes out and gets a stud, and this happens.

Perhaps the overs line just went up from one for the dear 'ol Huskers.

This is why I go one game at a time.

At my age I have seen too many things like this that just ruin a season.

We can try to count all the different games as wins or loses, which is fun to do, but something like this happens and throws the whole thing out of whack.

Feel sorry for the kid. Heard that is the worst thing to have happen.

Much worse than ACL tear.

This hurts Penn State terrible. You have to feel bad for the program. He was a great player and he was a leader. Will be interesting to see who, if anyone, steps up for them.

I remember from seeing him up close last year that he had absolutely the skinniest lower legs I had ever seen. I wonder if his Achilles might have been congenitally deficient.

What I'm thinking: "OK, how many times do we play them this year? And is it here or there? Does that flip one more L to a W, or two?"

Well, now that you mention it, I guess I have moved up to MVP status. Don't worry, I won't forget all the little people who helped me get there. I just look back on my posting career and think it must have something to do with the high quality of my posts, which display my keen hoops insight. Y'know, posts like, "Well, it could be worse -- we could be Penn State." In ten little words, that post summed up the prospects for our entire season. Genius like that doesn't just happen. It takes lots of spare time. And a high speed internet connection.

Wow, that is a bad injury. Hope he can come back from the injury. One of his strengths was his quickness, it may take two years to get completely back.

I can't begin to imagine how bad an injury like that would hurt. It hurts bad enough just bumping it on something. Tearing it? Ouch!!!!!!!
