10-8.

That's the goal, right?

Which scenario gives us more clout?

I think we have a better chance of beating Wisky at home than winning at Indiana.

I still think the goal is very realistic.

If the "goal" is the NCAA tournament, 2 road Ls or 1 home W doesn't cut it.

11-7.

That is the goal.  No reason for it not to be.

Which scenario gives us more clout?

This is the more relevant question in my mind.

Obviously winning all remaining games is important and the goal.

Taking Northwestern out of the equation, which game boosts our tournament chances more: beating Indiana on the road or Wisconsin at home.

I'm going off the idea that everyone was saying 10-8 + 1 tourney win.  That goal is still very much in tact.

I also think UW at home is a bigger victory, so we shouldn't feel like the sky is falling if we split the next two.

If we protect home court, we're going to be in good shape.  I don't consider the Illinois defeat to be a devastating loss.

March 9 is going to be insane.

Completely agree. That wiscy game is huge, regardless of what happens at Indiana. Another top 20 RPI win is what we need right now. I think a wiscy win, nw win, and a tounrny win and were right there.

Lunardi @ ESPN says we need to win 3/4, doesn't matter how we get 'em, regular season or tourney. Obviously, Badger win carries more weight, plus we haven't beaten them yet in Conference. Ol' Mo would be wearin' a Husker jersey heading to Indy!

I would just as soon we go on a 4-game winning streak.  Starting now.  Don't lose again until the 2nd round of the B1GT.  Don't leave anything to chance.

And, hey, we're close, but perhaps we're not an NCAA tourney-caliber team.  We might yet burnish our resume but, then again, we might not get there.  And, if we don't, all is not lost.  This team still far exceeded expectations.

But NCAA tourney teams are able to win road games against teams that aren't NCAA tourney caliber.  We missed out on some opportunities earlier this season against PSU and Purdue and those are coming back to bite us now, unfortunately.

There's still a chance for us to make the dance but our margin of error is non-existent at this point and we probably need to win out.  If we don't, the NIT is still respectable and a lot better than where most of us thought we'd be a month-and-a-half ago.

I don't mind Illinois again. We just lost to them (revenge factor), we are clearly the better team. We will not shoot like we did last night and I would venture to bet that they don't shoot from the outside again like they did last night. Also, they may be coming off of a tough 3 game stretch losing all three....could be a defeated team. We could be re-focused and playing for our tournament lives.
