Not class year. Even so, five of those guys were in the program already and contributors at 10 minutes a game or more. They're not really that close to us in terms of experience. I realize they've got a new coach and are learning a new system, but they've got much more experience both in terms of games played and playing together than we do. Hollins 1021 min - Gallegos 1237 min Hollins 1013 min - Shields 804 min Eliason 452 min - Rivers 829 min Ahanmisi 357 min - Parker 681 min Osenieks 284 min - Peltz 213 min Walker 198 min 3325 minutes 3083 minutes. FWIW. Peltz. lol. You just listed almost all of Minnesota's rotation. You're missing about half of Nebraska's. Minnesota's core group is vastly more experienced than Nebraska's. The Hollins kids have more experience playing together. The rest of their players are not vastly more experienced than what we returned when it comes to playing together. We had three guys in our rotation that had played together depending on who gets playing time from game to game. That's a considerable difference. Kentucky, Kansas and other programs of their ilk have practically made "building a program" obsolete unless the success of this years team "builds" into better recruiting for next year. The life span of a successful team's personnel any more is about the same as that of a mayfly. There's definitely a place for it. There are a handful of programs that can do what Kentucky and Kansas do. For 95% of the programs, maybe more, experience is still a big factor, not the only one, but it is a big one.
