Wow, I aged during that game.  How about Theriot's line:  45 minutes, 33 points, 9 assists, 0 turnovers.  Just stop and take that in.

Cady is NAILS again.

Hoop looked tired, only a ho hum double double with 18 and 10.

HUGE 3s by Jeffrey.  Those two juniors are inconsistent; you never know what you're going to get.  Laudermill can't throw it the ocean tonight, but Brandi hits 3 big 3s.

Still nothing out of Havers.  Tough to make it through this league with only 2 bigs..

We're  not that good; a high WNIT team, maybe if we keep winning close games we can make the dance.  But we fought back from 14 down in the second half, and they no matter the limitations, they deserve credit for that.

Big win for the Huskers down by 14 in the 2nd half and able to fight through it and come back. When we needed her the most #33 delivered with 33 points. Emily Cady is a stud! Brandi Jeffery also with a good game. JHoop joins the 2000 point club. Minnesota was fantastic tonight...that Banham girl can shoot the ball!

The coaching decision to scrap the zone and go man and sub Sadie Murren and Hallie Sample every 3 minutes won us this game. But what can you say about Rachel Theriot.... she did it all. Very excited how she led the comeback tonight.

Now let's get Purdue!

4922 in attendance.

How about these stats to add to HB's post....Rachel Theriot shoots 11-15 from the floor and a perfect 8 for 8 at the line.! As a team the Huskers committed only 6 turnovers! Both Emily and JHoop with double/doubles....Emily with 13 boards, 6 out 13 from the field and 9 out 10 from the charity stripe.

just a little observation---anyone have an explanation why havers was sitting by herself (albeit with asst coaches) instead of with the group of other teammates on the bench. just find that a little odd.

i thought she looked very impressive at the beginning of the year. maybe she has "hit the wall"? could be i am just trying to read too much into this, but, i didn't think she looked good. not sure if it's mental or physical---or maybe a little of both.

whoop- Connie always has the position players sit next to their individual position coaches on the bench. The bigs sit next to coach Shimmy and the guards sit next to coach Smallwood and Finch. They coach the girls on the bench during the game. Unfortunately since Simon left, we only have 3 bigs on the roster and two are in the game at almost all times. That leaves the one all by herself on the bench next to her coach.

The coach rally calls out their freshman post player in her post game comments calling her poor play the biggest factor in the loss. Interesting...

She's probably correct.  We got lucky the swedish giant struggled and was in foul trouble.  If's she's having a good game that would have been difficult to overcome.  Some will criticize the coach for publically calling her out, but coach knows way more than we do about how to motivate a particular player and what they can handle.

One would almost have to say Emily to this day is the mvp of the team. When opponents main objective is to take JHoop away she has taken the bull by the horns and led the way for this team! Just hope she and Jordan have enough gas in their tanks to make it through the rest of the way playing major minutes.

And I would be remiss if I didn't mention Sadie Murren and Hallie Sample's defensive stances last night when both stood their ground and took offensive charges calls under the bucket in crucial moments.

I guess it's a pick your poision type of thing, Either double EMdog and let Hoop beat you or dbl Hoop and let EMdog beat you.
