The Skinny

This should be an ugly game. The Huskers have been working on defense for the last week and Northern Illinois brings one of the worst shooting and scoring teams in Div I. Be surprised if the Huskies can crack 60.

Northern Illinois draws fouls and overall has a lot of size which hopefully will give the Huskers an opportunity to work on a few of their shortcomings. Unless Nebraska is looking ahead to Miami and Creighton, this should be a laugher.

I only agree with half that statement...us scoring over 65 points is no lock.

 

The Huskers have been working on running their motion offense/passing.  They also have been working on defense.  These are two thing that are going to limit possessions against an already grind it out organization like Northern Illinois.  Your best chance at Runzas are if the Huskers can earn them at the foul line as it already looks like it's going to turn into a "can the backups score you a Runza" sort of game.
