Row6, thanks for putting the info together.  I'd always understood Jess Shepard was 6'3".  She seems that tall.  Is she only 6'2"?

Also, not to nitpick, but it's Maddie Simon, not Katie Simon.

Simon says "get it right"! ......not sure why I put Katie.

Norm, I've read and heard all sorts of publications on Jess's height, all the way from 6'4 to 6'1 I think I'll put it at 6'3 as that's what I've seen more of, it's probably what I should have listed it anyway.

I'll go in and correct the errors right now as to avoid any other confusion.

I like the sounds of Napheesa Collier.  I like what it says about her game.  That kind of athletic, long player would be a fantastic compliment to Jess Shepard.  And St. Louis -- that's close enough to be in our primary recruiting footprint, I would think.  Now, find a couple of girls who can really spread the floor on offense and fill it up from outside.  That'd be sweet.

thank you so much for the list.  when this class comes in we will only have 3 bigs assuming they let Miss Page play guard, which means, one of our recruits will have to be a big.  fortunately the list has 4 solid by the looks of it.  the thing that bothers me on recruiting information is that they don't cover how good their handles are. majorly important especially, if playing back to the basket

Thanks Row 6! That is a very impressive list. With one solid verbal already, one or two more from that list would make for an impressive class. That on top of what appears to be a very good class for next year bodes for a bright future. PBA could be one hoppin joint in the years to come!

+1.

When you look at the current '14 class commits and think to '15 where NU is in on some very top shelf talent plus already having a commit from one of perhaps the top 10 recruits in the country, well, you have the beginnings of an extremely talented team.  And maybe something pretty special.  But the deal is following a good recruiting class with possibly and even better one.  And Connie has a head start on the "even better one" with Shepard already committed.

Great list Row 6.

I have heard that Kaylee Page is projected as a 4 due to her foot speed being a little on the slow side. To be able to defend guards at this level you need to be quick... I think her ability to stretch the floor as a shooter will make her a good 4. That being said the younger Page is a little more versatile and I see her playing more as a wing not a post. All these players can score but I think defensive play is going to get these recruits on the floor early in their careers.

I think they have 4 more to sign with Shepard leading the way as the 1st of 5 from this class. Who else wants 'N'?

Nebraska has an in home visit scheduled with Napheesa Collier for tomorrow.

The 6'1 junior had Missouri visiting on the 9th, followed by Purdue the next day, then a list of ten additional programs through the month of September. Other Big Ten programs paying visits are Maryland on the 12th and Nebraska on the 26th. Home visits are allowed for high school juniors as a result of a rule change. Coaches used to have to wait until a player's senior year to set up a home visit. For all intents and purposes, September 1 officially begins the heavy recruiting process for junior high school players. Not only are home visits being set up, coaches are allowed unlimited texts and phone calls to junior prospects beginning September 1.

Well, I like what they say about the Collier girl in terms of what she brings to the floor.  It's cool to hear we've got an in-home visit with someone of that caliber who doesn't reside within the geographic boundaries of the state of Nebraska.  It would be cool to land a player like that.  The talent that could be tapped in the '14 and '15 recruiting classes appears to be stunning.

Some Collier info.  Has a 2014 hs teammate pg who will be a freshman and ISU next fall.  Has a 2014 HS center teammate who will be a freshman at KSU next fall.  Plays club ball with 2014 kids who will be freshman at MU, KU and Alabama next year I believe.

Long and mobile.  Really talented kid.  Would be a nice addition to any major program.

As of Sept 11th this is Arike Ogunbowale's latest offer list, Notre Dame, Duke, Kansas, Marquette, Wisconsin, Michigan, Michigan State, Louisville, Syracuse, Iowa, DePaul, Indiana, Maryland, Nebraska, Purdue, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Rutgers and Vanderbilt.

On top of this list of official offers she is also receiving strong interest from Cal, Stanford, UConn, Penn State, Tennessee, Kentucky and Yale. The Huskers have their work cut out for them trying to get a commitment out of her so it seems. One thing the Huskers do have in their corner is Jess Shepard, Jess has met her on the AAU trail and has become a really good friend with Arike.

Right now Arike is in Jakarta, Indonesia playing with the USA National team in the 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championship.

And the impressive 2015 recruiting list grows bigger!

Danni Williams (2015) a 5'9 guard from Clovis High School in Clovis, New Mexico has been offered by the Huskers.  Williams the reining Gator Ade  Player of the year in New Mexico averaged 19.7 points per game, 2.9 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 3.9 steals last season as a sophomore.

Could be a hard pull to get her out of the southwest as both New Mexico and Texas Tech are pushing hard for her services.

"Danni is a terrific guard," Valley (Albuquerque) head coach Rich Harbin said in the annoucement release. "She has great shooting range and can also go to the basket very well. Typically, Danni does a great job taking care of the ball and distributing it to her teammates."

Also a volleyball standout, Williams has maintained a 4.22 weighted GPA and ranks No. 1 in her graduating class. A member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Junior Honor Society and her school’s Spanish Club, she has volunteered locally on behalf of her church’s youth group.

As a side note to Norm's post above, did anyone notice the tweet, twitter, text or whatever it was on the big screen at half time today.

Coach Shimmy's had something along the lines of 'just back from very successful recruiting trip and I am ready for some basketball'.  Coach Shimmy previously was the head coach at St Louis U.

Just something to think about.
