Taking bets on Mike Peltz

"Peltz was a two-year captain at Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff, Neb., playing for Coach Russ Beck. As a sophomore in 2011-12, Peltz averaged 7.5 points, 6.2 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in helping WNCC to a 26-7 record and the school's first national ranking since 2005. Peltz ranked fifth nationally in the NJCAA in assists and had a 3.5 assist-to-turnover ratio running an offense which featured five players that averaged double figures."

Any bets this kid plays this year? And, by that, I don't just mean mop up duty.

Is he in the rotation? Yes or no.

He will play, how much depends on whether or not Biggs redshirts and the development of Parker. You also have Menke that was awarded a schollie for this year. That said, Coach Miles will likely play a fair amount of three to four guard rotations...if so, playing time will be had.

If he plays I hope it is because he is actually deserving of minutes and not just playing because we need someone, though of course like it has been said before you gotta play with what you got, and this year we are slim. His assist and assist to turnover ratio is impressive though so it definitely will be nice to have another good floor general.
