JHoop quotes:

"I am really excited, I didn't really think I had much of a chance to make the team honestly, because there were so many great players, and I didn't really feel like I played that well the first two days. But I made up my mind from the beginning to just go out and play hard and do my best, and I think that's what the coaches liked about me."

"It is a great opportunity, I am just going to try to make the most of it and enjoy the experience. I'm really honored to get a chance to represent the United States at the international level for the first time."

Jordan Hooper helped Team USA win in the final seconds 79-78 over Australia. USA did their best at trying to give this one away squandering a sixteen point lead away with less than a minute to go in the 4th quarter to fall behind by 1, but made the go ahead basket with 14 seconds left to win Australia had two chances to win it in the end but couldn't get either shot to fall.

JHoop wound up with 5 points and 5 boards in just over 11 minutes of playing time. She also came up with a big steal midway thru the 4th quarter.

The Oklahoma head coach (Team USA's head coach) needs to think about sitting the Ellenberg girl from Oklahoma and Massengail girl from Tennessee, as both committed crucial turnovers at critical times when you need solid ball handling from your guards. Team USA now meets Team Russia in the gold metal round Monday night
