Tvrdy steps down as SHS girls coach

               
 

“I have decided that it is best for my family to resign from the position of head girls’ basketball coach at Seward High School,” he said. “Next year I will have all three of my children playing on different basketball teams. I had to decide between traveling with my wife and watching our kids play or to continue coaching.”

               

Son Titus is a member of the Doane College men’s basketball team. Daughter Hannah will be a freshman at UNL next season and will play for the Husker basketball team. Son Carson is a fourth grader and plays on the Silverhawks club team.

           

“For the next four years, my plan is to watch my kids play and help coach my son’s Silverhawks club team,” Tvrdy said. “God willing, my goal is to get back into coaching when my family situation allows me to do it.”
