With respect, please stop calling them "Lady" Huskers. It's not their name, most female athletes despise the diminutive label (happy to provide proof if you're interested), and, well, it's sexist. Not trying to start a flame fight, just requesting you show them the respect you obviously have for them as a squad when it comes to their name. They are just Huskers. If you have to differentiate on gender, you can address them as what they are: "women".

Thanks.

I agree. I have been trying to get People on this board to quit calling them lady huskers for years.  But some people still insist.  Nobody ever calls the men's team the gentleman huskers

With NE down by ten at 26-36 at the half, the NE guards were 1-16 with Shelley 0-6; White 0-3; and Krull 0-1.  At the end of the 3rd quarter, it was 45-64 with Shelley 1-8; White 1-5; and Krull 1-3.  Finally, in the 4th quarter Shelley, White, and Moriarty hit some shots and were at least trying to drive the ball but in the end NE lost 73-82.   Markowski had a double-double while Potts had a tough day as did Hake. Turnovers were outrageous at times and ended up at 18.  With Iowa on tap and other games upcoming we cannot keep having poor game starts and be anywhere close at the end.

No surprises here.....

If we can't do something positive about guard scoring, Iowa, Ohio St, etc etc....it's going to be tough games ahead.

Our shot percentages were very low at PS and had issues just getting off good shots off.  They defended our perimeter and we had no answer for most of the game. Offense was stagnant and slow especially the first half. But we did put it together at times 2nd half just not consistently enough.

.And PS let up a little when they thought the game was over...before it actually was, and kind of opened the door for us.

Penn St just has a very athletic squad. All their roster adjustments...portal, etc have made them a different, and very improved team...obviously. Have to give that to them. Transfers seem to be the way to build a team in short order these days. Unless you can recruit 4 and 5 stars every year it's another world for everyone else. .......It is what it is.  Complicated

Still believe this roster has good stuff left in them. Need some breaks, and some shots to fall. Take all the wins we can muster. Lots of games left to make this a good year.  Patience, patience, patience.

I agree with most of this, but not the part about them defending our perimeter. I've never seen so many missed wide open shots in a game. Shelley and White should have each had about 8 assists, with as many times as they found open shooters, outside and inside. Poor shooting and turnovers killed us, in my opinion. You can have one and survive, but not both in the same game.

Agree with you too.....I could have written a full page about about all the things that added to the poor game, and stuff we missed (besides shots) but simply hit some of the highlights. That game exposed us lots of ways
