Neb Nets Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 PLOT TWIST: During the jersey retirement ceremony, Jordan Hooper announces that she still has one year of eligibility remaining, will rejoin Husker WBB immediately. But wishful thinking aside, if you all had to pick one Husker women’s basketball player from the last 10 years who you could bring back for this season, which past player do you think could help this year’s team the most? I would select Rachel Theriot to come in and play point guard. I miss watching her. She had a great all around game. Fantastic passing and court vision. Tom Jones and HUD 2 Quote

Red Don Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 Huskers Trail by 5 pts the end of Q1: 15-20 (Markowski with a buzzer beater Trey) First Qtr Stats: Quote
12dozen Posted January 7 Author Report Posted January 7 Indiana can't possibly keep shooting 3's at this rate, can they? We're not playing bad. Quote
Red Don Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 Indiana has superior length, and is making their shots. We seem a little off this half. FG's 63-48%, ane 64-33 for treys. Quote
Neb Nets Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 Not able to watch this game live. Will watch later on DVR. How is the battle inside between Alexis and Mackenzie Holmes playing out? Quote
Red Don Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 Hoosiers by 13 @ the Half; 29-42 Shooting %'s tell the story. Indiana's length is impacting our shooting (a lot of misses) Indiana hs us scouted well. Points in the Paint is surprising; 20-10 Huskers! Halftime Stats: Neb Nets 1 Quote

How is the battle inside between Alexis and Mackenzie Holmes playing out? There really hasn't been one to speak of. Mackenzie isn't usually guarding Alexis.... looks purposeful...maybe Indy is concerned MacK will get in foul issues ??.....and may be concerned Alexis will defend Mack well. Indy is shooting the lights out. Their offense moves the ball really well, and operates fast in the half court. Drives to the basket. We aren't keeping up and guarding against their shots. Conversely their defense is defending our shots pretty well. Lots of game left. I too can't think they can't keep shooting so well....but we have to defend better. It's not over, we can certainly play better in the 2nd half. Edited January 7 by redsteve Cazzie22, Neb Nets and Red Don 1 2 Quote
Huskerfanzzz Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 We have got to get more production from other players. Jaz is 0-4. White has only take 1 shot. Potts looks scared. AM looks like the only player who showed up ready to play. Disappointing. redsteve 1 Quote
KarlHessEatMy.... Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 Omg give me Haliey Sample back to put on Parrish!!!! One of the best defenders in the 2000s if you ask me Neb Nets and Cazzie22 1 1 Quote

How is the battle inside between Alexis and Mackenzie Holmes playing out? Stats favor AM. But, as mentioned, they are not squaring up on defense. Officials are calling 'traveling' closely. It has resulted in turnovers from each. Neb Nets 1 Quote
huskerchode Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 And now AM has 4 fouls to start the half. Neb Nets 1 Quote

Bang, bang, Alexis is sitting for awhile. At least Stewart hit a '3'. Maybe that will loosen their defense a bit. Indiana, 12 - 1, looks good. Best in the B1G? Quote

Not much help on defense...or rebounding. Indiana is good in all phases....coaching too. They have players that fit their system. Edited January 7 by redsteve Red Don and 12dozen 2 Quote
huskerchode Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 Seems our women are playing with some fire now. And just as I typed this we turned the ball over. I’ll shut up now (dang autocorrect kept changing shut to something else). Red Don 1 Quote
colhusker Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 A lot of ticky tack fouls on us, and not them. Quote

I’m really glad she didn’t, obviously….but in today’s fickle transfer climate, can you ever really relax and feel confident that a great recruit will stay for 4 years? Quote
Red Don Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 Hoosiers by 20 pts at the end of Q3: 49-69! Stats at the end of 3 Qtrs of Play: Indiana is scoring at will. Points in the Paint now 28-24 favor Hoosiers. Quote
colhusker Posted January 7 Report Posted January 7 Holmes gets touched it's a foul, she knocks into someone play on. Starting to like her as little as Clark. Quote
