How can they possibly get it more wrong than that. Husker couldn't get the rebound because she was held by Ayrault who knocked it out of bounds. MSU Ball (of course).

This is a pathetic way to end the game. White as a point guard has to be better at the free throw line. We should have beaten this shorthanded group by twenty.

Yup...very good win---on the road!  Ahem, despite the VERY ugly finish.  That and the 24 turnovers.

The drama at the end was totally unnecessary. Hopefully they will learn from it.

 

White does some good things, but her missed free throws cost us huge against Creighton and she choked again at the end of this game.

 

The third perimeter spot is still a gaping hole in this team because it's a weakness in defense and ballhandling.

Lady Huskers Win!!!!
But a very disappointing finish to the 4th Qtr. After putting MSU Away with a 17 point lead in middle of the 4th, Husker lose composure and give up a 11/1 run (even more at the end,) finishing with only a four Six Point win.
Instead of going out on a huge win in their B1G opener. Lady Huskers are deflated, compared to where they SHOULD Have Been.

Color me Happy, But Disappointed.
We've got to work on overcoming pressure by opposing teams, disrupting our poise. Reffing does its share too.

We Really have Too Much Talent On the Team for this to Happen.
Nice Stat Line for Kendall Coley with 18 mins in the game.

Nice win away from home in the B!G.  At times we looked real good. Different people stepped up at different times to keep us in the game.

 

Excess guard turnovers almost did us in. We had about 25 turnovers in the open court. Mich St had a lot to do with that.

 

Markowski pretty much put the lid on it in the 4th.... with another double double. 13 pts 17 rebounds. Tops for both teams in points and rebounds.

White can’t come off the floor against a press. Period. She’s really the only ball handler we have. She needs to make her free throws, but I can imagine she’s tired after playing 94 fr for 30+ minutes. I can’t stand when Shelley launches up threes when we don’t need them. No discipline.

The doomsayer in me would want to focus on the poorly played last two minutes.  The realist in me says to concentrate on the game in its entirety.  We beat a Big Ten team, a good team, a well coached team on the road.  That my friends is a good win.  

Do we have things to work on, sure.  But all teams are in the same boat.

Our guards seem to be casual dribbling the ball, many dribble high when guarded. I would have preferred Krull in the game late rather than Hake.

Focusing on the bright side: Having White to handle the PG duties seems like it's helping to free up Jaz.  Her 3 point shots still aren't falling, but it seems like Jaz is orchestrating the offense pretty well the last few games (probably helps that her ankle is healed as well)...she was pretty close to another triple double today.

 

Inside: Markowski, Potts, Petrie and Coley have turned into a pretty solid rotation. I'm excited to see if Mendelson can also contribute when she's available.

I agree the turnovers hurt. Shelley also had 4. I’m hoping it’s 1st big 10 jitters for White, and she will work through it.

We just beat a team on the road that was 8 in the NE T metrics.  Do you folks ever have anything good to say.

So I will start,  Lex was 13 and 17.  Atta girl.  Jaz had 9 assists, impressive.  Coley did not miss a shot.  Really helps us.  Callin was solid as usual.

Nice win, ladies!!  Collapse in the last 2 minutes a bit concerning, though.  Definitely something to work on.  Be strong with the ball and go meet the ball on passes.

Our defensive intensity is so much better.  We move well and then rebound effectively.
