How Good Is the Big 10 - the title of this thread .... Well, one team makes all the others look like weaklings in comparison.  What a decisive take down that was last night!  Indiana - the team that shot 14 for 23 on three pt tries agains the Huskers, managed only 5 for 20 at Iowa. Sydney Parish who shot 6 for 7 at PBA shot 1 for 4 at Iowa. Sarah Scalia, 5 for 10 here in Lincoln was even worse at ZERO for 4 in Iowa City. All in all, a 27 point rout.  Open looks for Indiana were about as rare as spectators in beach wear.

And although Clark did get her 30, it was not her 3 point shooting (6 for 16) that did it.  Wonder what would happen in a special "cap off the season" contest .... Iowa vs the Big Ten All Stars.

Not a huge Iowa fan, but.....

Iowa didn't play particularly good defense for several recent years, but found out they couldn't get to the 'big time' without it.

To their credit, they have improved defensively, and made it part of their game plan.

Remember Yori putting Sample on the best scorer of the other team, and shadowed her all the game. Not really team defense, but it worked

So the Iowa home game on February 11th is now a sellout. PBA is listed as a 15,500 seat arena.

I read that. I wonder how the crowd will react to Clark because of the Ohio State postgame collision/flop?  I could see the students chanting 'flop' if the opportunity presents itself.

Unless we show stark improvement we will get boat raced by Iowa and have plenty of disappointed fans.  Of course there will be plenty of Hawkeye fans in the arena.

just facing reality..........huskers will be fortunate to keep it around a 20pt loss. i just see it closer to 30. and that hurts. it's possible iowa has an "off" night and keep it around a 15-20pt loss, but, talent difference is just too wide. money on getting ugly.

I've had a change of heart on Clark.  My detest for her was absolute.  In my opinion she's the best I've ever seen in the women's game and has done more for women's sports than anyone I know of.  Also despite in game shenanigans, she is incredibly respectful of the other team in post game interviews.  Sadly I have become a fan.

I agree. I've always had respect for her game though, because she has a winner's mentality. She does whatever it takes. I admire that. I love to hate her because she is so good.

Players can be great, and Clark is clearly great because she makes those around her better, but can act with some class on the floor.  I grew up in an era where Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain etc., played the game with dignity and respect for the opponent.  That’s a bygone era for sure.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...I still can't stand her. 😜

Clark has put more eyes on WBB, that is for sure. Clark has helped put butts in seats at every venue that they have played at this year. Now PBA is sold out for the game on Sunday. I will go out on a limb here and say this will be her last game at PBA as a Iowa player. I know she has a CV19 year but they loose a lot after this year. Of the 5 starters only their center returns. Like last year this is their best chance to go deep in the NCAA tourney.

I agree.  After accomplishing every thing she can in college I don't think she will be back for a 5th season of college ball.  The WNBA needs her and her endorsements will be huge.  She is so competitive that she will want to prove herself playing against better players and teams.  Once in a lifetime athlete.  Her best feature may be her durability.

Clark will make a lot of money from her endorsements. She will get more that a few girls wanting to wear the number 22. Much like Jordan influenced boys and girls a like to wear number 23.

Caitlin Clark is the most unlikable player in basketball. She does not have to be a jerk all game long.  Look at Paige Bueckner of UCONN.   Very good player with class.

Right.  I watched her against Indiana.  She took a not much more than ordinary bump in the midsection while securing a rebound. A few seconds later she fell to the floor, doubled over in pain, and wore a look of it being excruciating. And 60 seconds later she was back running the court.
