Love him, even though he's not a scorer. Plays like his hair's on fire, and he has a LOT of hair.

I have always liked him.  I thought he was their best player at Northstar.

let's just do a big random drawing of all players every year and randomize every team. sure it's chaotic, but think of the possibilities! half the NCAA is going into the portal every season, let's just finish the job.

Maybe both team could just shoot three throws first ten play each like at open gym back in the day.

Ohhh... what do you know?

Just throwing darts he seems to fit the profile I'd love to get some of these guys we're after but it's a different ballgame when the big dogs come calling

Sallis has gotten a lot of minutes lately it seems.  It also seems as though his role has increased.  Are we still thinking he hits the portal?

playing very well tonight although he sure doesn’t look for his shot very often..

If they keep winning I’m thinking those transfer chances are dwindling the more he plays in these games. He’s a great defender but he can’t shoot. Do we need more guards that can’t shoot anyway?

Portal names mentioned by Robin this morning:

1. Jamison Battle

2. Paxson Wojcik

3. Kerr Kriisa

4. Jameer Nelson Jr

5. Taran Armstrong

6. John Tonje

The Wojcik connection is interesting. Hope we have the inside lane. Would love to get him

I find it interesting he thinks we take two centers and then mentions none. Wonder if the staff has a guy in mind who hasn't entered yet

With what they lose and what they bring in, I feel he's going to be in a weird position. I'd suggest he leaves and comes to Nebraska. Zero bias involved here. 😉

I'd be ecstatic if we got Sallis, but here's a serious question: If he had no local ties and you didn't know his recruiting ratings, would anyone here be interested, just based on watching him play? I'll be honest and say no, I wouldn't.

I thought his defense was poor in the first half, he turned the ball over and he didn't look to score. (went to bed and missed the second half) btw, he's shooting .268% on 3s for the season

Yeah.  I watched about five minutes of the game.  During that time, Sallis made an impact on both ends of the floor with an athletic spin and drive for a layup and getting a rebound and forcing a turnover on the other end.  Was surprised to see this morning a limited stat line for him: 1 assist, 3 turnovers and 5 points--but with 5 rebounds-- in 21 minutes.

This is accurate.

Not really sure he fits with what we do. He's basically just become a ball mover, somewhat slasher, and defensive stopper. Basically a more polished version of Denim Dawson.

All 5 of his points came within a span of about 2 minutes of game time: Two layups, one of which was an and-one.

And then he palmed the ball dribbling in the open floor with no defender nearby and turned it over.

Thank goodness he thought he was too good for us.
