Nicholls finally gets on the board via a wild pitch to account for their 1 run, even though they had the bases juiced. Now 4-1, mid 5th.

To bad we couldn't have watch these games. The first game was a gem.

NU blowing this thing open now in bottom 5th - I'd guess we've seen the last of Kaminska on a cold day. What a great job by our top two arms today.

 

I've said it before, but these two horses are going to win us a lot of games in B1G play.

Yep, agreed. Pitching and defense will win in the Big Ten, combined with plenty of offense, and the hope would be that NU is able to at least contend for another B1G title.

 

NU is up 10-1, still only 1 out in the bottom of the 5th. **Now 11-1 after 5 inn.**

Nebraska with 2 jimmy-jacks in the 6th inning as Max hits another HR in the "nightcap." He's 3-5 with 2 runs and 4 RBI. Now 16-1. GBR

 

After his Grand Slam earlier in the 6th, Brice Matthews is 1-4 with 1 run and 5 RBI (incl. sac fly).

That makes sense, it is a good thing they'll at least get that 3rd game in this weekend. Still seems weird to me to move this "home" series to Manhattan, KS. Do what you gotta do, I guess...

Nicholls already has scored 3 times, with no outs, in the top of the 1st. NU needs to have better pitching.... & do it quickly.

Nicholls has had 8 baserunners... NU hasn't had a hit, yet.
