Big 10 tournament Generator is showing Maryland as the #6 seed under all 4 potential outcomes of the remaining 2 games.    So looks like that would be the opponent if we get past Minnesota.

Still can’t believe they couldn’t hold off penn state after being up double digits most of the second half today and controlling the whole first half.

I got the same.  Most likely outcome I think is...

Minny, Maryland, Indiana, NW, Purdue.  Not exactly murder's row, but not easy of course.  Especially with a limited bench and tired legs.

Wisconsin escapes the barn, crazy how much Hepburn does for them.  They would have zero offensive flow without him.

Pretty impressive job by our coaching staff dealing with our major injury’s when you see what happened to pickell and Rutgers once Mag got hurt for the year. Seemed like they were headed for 13 or 14 big ten wins and they finish 10-10

I know the old adage it's tough to beat a team three times in one season.

It happens; I can even remember seeing one of Jerry Eickhoff's teams lose for the third time to the same opponent in 1982.

Nebraska has beat the same team three times on at least 15 occasions in the last 75 years.  That's not going back to the twenties, when for example in 1920 they beat Morningside 4 times.

They only beat KU three times in a season once; and, it was Joe Cipriano's worst team, Jerry Fort's freshman year in 1973 when they went 9-17.

Everyone is going to have different perceptions of who is best to play, given the parity in the league. That being said, I think this is about the best path we could realistically ask for.   That being said, we can easily lose to Minny.  If we survive that, we will play a Maryland team that is better than we are, but doesn't shoot well away from home.  You add in the notoriously difficult on college kids shooting backdrop at United Center, I think we can win if we take away the lobs and the pick and roll, roll man.  Then Indiana who simply is not great AND has not faced our defense in a long long time.  It is different than most Big 10 defenses.  Then hopefully NW or Penn St.  Neither overwhelm us talent wise.  I think we are in the dance at that point with a respectable effort against whoever we play and a non absurd set of results in other tourneys.

It's pretty crazy how this 2022-23 Big Ten season unfolded with the undeniable parity. Now, the question is: does that mean the Big Ten is actually 'good' or thoroughly 'mediocre'?

seems lacking in star power from years past. I see it as a down year. others mileage may vary.

Nonconference: "The Big Ten is great this year!"

Conference: "The BIg Ten is mediocre this year!"

NCAAT, after getting a lot of 10-12 seeds: "The wins/losses prove the Big Ten was good/bad this year!"
