After the games on Tuesday... ACC 5, Big Ten 3

Monday:

Va Tech takes down Minny by 10.

Pitt over NW in Evanston by 29!!!

Tuesday:

Maryland over Louisville by 25.  Louisville is bad this year.

Clemson beats Penn State in 2 OT's.  Quite the game.

Illinois over the Cuse by 29!!!

Iowa takes care of Ga Tech by 16.

Wake Forest beats Wisco at Wisco.  Chucky with an ill advised 3 at the end.  78-75 final

Virginia wins at Michigan 70-68.  Quite the drama in this one as VA missed some FTs and it appeared there may have been a foul on the final 3 attempt for Michigan.

Boston College @ Nebraska

Purdue @ Florida State (ouch)

Ohio St @ Duke

Rutgers @ Miami

UNC @ Indiana

Michigan St @ Notre Dame

With the addition of the California schools, I wonder if the B1G will align itself into East/West divisions in Basketball not unlike Football?

Maybe a B1G East/B1G West challenge as a replacement for ACC/B1G?

I think divisions will depend on sport. Non-revenue sports may primarily play in divisions with cross-over games being rare, almost like non-con games. Save some money on travel.

Baseball and softball though, I could see them not using divisions and holding as many conference games early in the year as possible at USC & UCLA (if UCLA finally approves jumping to the B1G, that is).

Of course, it all depends on when/if the B1G finishes raiding the Pac-?? and adds Oregon, Washington, et al.

Whoever the schedule guru is for the B1G is going to earn his/her cash. It's going to be complex and very sport-specific. And the TV folks may have an idea or two. I'd gue$$ the B1G will li$ten to them.

Maybe it's just me...but we have the regular season and the tournament..whatever forms they take to see Big 10 teams play each other. I don't see a Big 10 no matter how you slice it challenge as being all that special. Needs to continue to be betwen conferences or not continue at all.  Just put regular games aren't part of a challenge or whatwever.

Unless you want to make it, Big 10 Foottball Players Vs Big 10 Basketball Players.

It was kind of interesting watching Danny Manning on the Louisville sidelines. He was the interim HC at Maryland last season after Turgeon was fired.

Now, he's on the bench for winless Louisville while his former program is undefeated under a new coach.

Speaking of which, does ANYONE have a quick link to the list of probably just conference programs and their off-season personnel changes? I'd be curious to know who returned for Maryland and who Willard brought in new this season.

Maryland looked really good last night, particularly in the 2nd half. At one point, they were 6-9 on second half treys. Louisville looked more like us.
