Perry gets out of bases loaded jam in the 1st. score is 0-0 going to the top of the 2nd.

Perry gives up 3 in the bottom of the 2nd his day is done throwing 62 pitches. Sam Houston score 2 more in the 2nd 5-3 Sam Houston.

I think we will be fine.  Perry needs to find his command.  Hitters need to put the ball in play.  

 

If we look like this when Big 10 play starts, I will start to worry.

Agree-- you just can't afford to lose games like this.  Even if it's earlier in the year.  When it comes to getting a home regional.  In a 4 game series against this caliber of opponent, theoretically you'd like to win 3 if not all 4.  We've put ourselves in a tough spot now to have to sweep the next 3.

 

Now, I know it's baseball and you'll lose games.  That's just how it works in this sport.  However, teams that host a regional lose less of these types of games.  In the grand scheme of things, does this put us on the outside of hosting?  No.  But, it makes it that much harder when you're having to win one extra game down the road.
