HHCC Standings - End of Week 10

Okay, so I'll start with the sentimental, but then we need to get back to brass tacks.

 

First off, we're 18 games through the season which means there's only 13 more regular season games remaining. Let's take step back and try to appreciate what we have in front of us before we go into another long offseason.

 

Lastly, and more importantly, we're in trouble. Yes, our team doesn't have an identity (or at least can't execute to what that identity should be). But that's not wht I'm talking about. Not only do we suck, but Ken Pomeroy is doing a very good job at pointing that out. Ken currently stands on the podium in the bronze medal position and we're just letting him climb the standings week after week.

 

If not for our Huskers, hold strong and finish out this season so Ken doesn't get the last laugh.

Ken Pom has the advantage of a) not being a person, but a machine, and b) profoundly allergic to kool aid. For a machine, that is. 

 

I'm getting killed this season just trying to find an ounce of optimism every vveek so I don't become a cynical hoops sociopath. 

 

Still think you should get hazard pay for this job. I think vve should all get hazard pay for being fans of the un-fannable.

Take solace in the fact the KenPom is horrific at picking individual games.  One should not concern oneself with how he is doing in the overall game, but rather how terrible he is in individual games.

I’m just happy that… the one year we do break out… KenPom will go down… maybe.

 

 

Also, I’m quietly sneaking toward the Top 10.  It sucks for me… because I haven’t picked us to win since early December.
