It seems that the High Schools in Nebraska and small colleges can manage this shit better than the NCAA can. Thoughts?

College campuses have a hell of a lot more kids on them than high schools do.  The socializing is on an entirely different level in college.  I suspect that has a lot to do with the problem.

We have pretty strict sanitation rules for our classrooms, but I'm not sure colleges have the same (and it's a lot easier for college kids to go out and about after class than for high schoolers).

Vball coach John Cook was on the radio the other day talking about tough it is just for the vball team. Sounds like teammates are also roommates so "close contact" is big issue. So if 1 girl is part of that it brings her roommates into the fold, possibly having 4 girls not allowed to participate. He also mentioned that some of the players co-mingle with the football team thus affecting 2 teams. Co-mingle was his choice of words and he later said dating.

With the proper precautions that shouldn't be an issue...

What is your guys take on p-layers wearing masks while playing sports? is it good for you or not?

Why would it be bad for us?

Or by “you” do you mean the players?

I'd imagine the key benefits are 1. not touching your face, 2. not getting other people's sweat or droplets on your face.

One guy we played against vs McNeese wore a mask, I've seen baseball players wear masks, among other sports. My understanding is that it doesn't inhibit your oxygen levels. Think the short answer is "it doesn't hurt anything."

While playing I think it's pretty silly. Especially if these guys are getting tested a lot. Seems like most transmission is coming from face to face contact for an extended period of time. It makes a lot of sense on the bench, huddles, and in the locker room.

But, obviously, masks = good.
