I will wait to see the product on the football field. Recruiting is one thing but you need to be able to put the pieces together and have a successful showing when it matters.

true.......however, i think what that staff has been able to do in such a short time is rather impressive. as always, time will tell.

Fingers crossed that Jordan decides to play at NU. We’ve had a bit of a pipeline going in terms of getting players from Minnesota in recent years. And currently there are 4 players on NU roster from Minnesota

she has claimed in the past NoCar would be her "dream school". not gonna hold my breath on this one.

I do think you are correct that Amy only wants players that fit the culture she wants here. Players like Leigha Brown do not fit what she wants here and if they do come, then they may leave early. But I would add part of the difference from last year to this year is we had players (Cravens, Cayton) that play with a more aggressive stance, think boxing...last we took a punch and punched right back mostly, this year we take a punch and we either fold or wait too long to punch back. You need a healthy balance of both in my view. You hope you get players that are more aggressive that know how to channel it. Now this is not the only problem with this years team but just one of many.

Does anyone realize, that Dillard is a grad student?

Yes, I saw that she was listed as such about a week ago on a roster line up for a game.  Graduated mid year.

I’m not sure why the coach doesn’t address the status of Brady and Dillard. we pretty much know they’re done but Someone needs to have the cahones to ask her.

On a previous text quite awhile ago I mentioned that I had texted the call in show with the question of the status of Brady and Dilliard who at that time had not been at any of the last 4 games.  Matt filtered the text by only asking Amy about the status of Brady.  All Amy said was that she was under concussion protocol.  If I get a chance I will call in at a future show and ask the question more directly.  It is what it is but as noted previously the transparency of the WBB program is not what it should be at least in our minds. Fred Hoiberg is a lot more open.

Dillard played as a freshman at Texas Tech. I'm glad she got that experience.  At Nebraska, she is now in her 3rd year listed as a sophmore (redshirt/covid year/this year?).  She has yet to see the court.  I feel bad for her, but it might be time to hang up the sneakers.  Hats off to her.  She has taken advantage of the educational opportunities, her talent provided.

I think we all believe the transparency of the WBB program is not what it 'Should' be.  Some recruits are surprises, seemingly coming out of nowhere  (Jessica Petrie, understandable but still a surprise),  sometimes disappearing just as quickly (RS Tatiana Popa).  I understand quick pick-ups in the portal, nevertheless finding out what offers we have out to new recruits is anything but transparent, often coming to light only when one happens to stumble across a prospective recruit tweeting they've received a scholarship offer.

Much as I enjoy listening to Matt Coatney call the WBB games, his continual 'soft-ball' questions to Coach Amy are getting tiresome, as are her coach-speak answers.

Matt:  "Isn't that right Amy that ........."

Coach Williams:  "Yeah, Right Matt ......... "

IIRC, Trinity Brady had concussion in a car accident her So. year HS.  While a Husker she suffered a lower leg injury in Dec 2020, keeping her out of several games, and a couple of concussions requiring protocol.

Dillard came to us from Texas Tech, IIRC having suffered an injury there, required hip surgery (to be performed @ Nebraska), subsequently tearing an ACL in practice.

I don't think we'll see either on the floor again.

Even with all the injured on the roster including Sam and the scholarship for Maggie we still had two unused ones that may have helped us with someone from the portal.  Maybe there is more to it but if so then tell us.

You all are gonna be lucky if you have Maggie next year.  Or hake tbh. Just sayin
