Isn't the guy who reported this out of Omaha and kinda of anti Husker?

Not for sure.  Either way, this is something you get out in front of from a PR standpoint if it isn't true.  If it is true, you delay and do "damage control."  It looks like we're leaning toward the latter right now as it's a simple "these reports are false and we look forward to playing at Oklahoma this fall" if it were false.

Moos has no idea why the game was scheduled for this year.  It's the 50th anniversary of the "Game of the Century"  Any other year, he could have said we are looking to add an 8th home game due to budget concerns and losing out on ticket sales in 4 of our major sports (football, basketball, baseball,  and volleyball).  We still want to play Oklahoma,  but are trying to line up a date for a trip to Norman.  That would never work since we would have to cancel a game with Colorado in 2023, Cincinnati in 2025, or Tennessee in 2027.  Why even bother.  Just suck it up and figure out a different way to make up money.

Just the publicity this game is going to get, you have to have blinders on to cancel this game.  Any other away game against just about ANY other program and it’s fine.  If it’s the Cincy game, Colorado game even... there wouldn’t have been as much blow back.

Moos isn't oblivious about this. Remember all the times he's talked about watching Nebraska over the years and how he has all this respect for the program, and that's why he wanted to take this job? He knows about the history of this OU/NU rivalry. Whether or not he's doing what's best for the program is another story.

People, come on.  Don't be naive; it was about $$$$$$$$$.  A home game would generate more revenue for the program and the city/county/state.

I agree the national optics create ugliness, but after this past season the revenue loss is significant.

Think about recruiting as well.  A home game would assist the program as well.

This game package with Oklahoma is important, but exploring options is not a bad thing.
