Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio State have not let us run at all.  There have been 3, 4, sometimes all 5 guys back every time.  I can guarantee you Michigan State is coached well enough to have every person getting back every time.

Our half court offense consists of Allen or Banton trying to drive, and missing a lay-up or kicking it out to a Nebraska guy who will brick a 3.

michigan state wants to run all the time. I’ll give you some teams like it slow like Wisco and OSU but most teams in league want to push it, we are just not as good as them right now but it can be done

Some sobering numbers...

70-29... this was an actual score... of our game tonight.  That can’t happen.  That should NEVER happen.  You expect to do that to a SWAC team.

OSU hit the 99.9% win prob on ESPN at 15 minutes to go in the 2nd and never dropped down from there.

If we had held OSU scoreless for the last 13:43 of the game... we still lose this one.

71% at the stripe... our best number this year?

28% and 15% for FG and 3FG percentages.  Yowza.

Seems like some of it is that we don't have guys either quick enough and/or ambitious enough to push it. Last year teams knew we were going to push it and we would do so despite them trying to take it away.

To me it seems the latter.

Cheatham was a big key to this last year as he was always looking to run and so was Burke for the most part. Then of course Mack was always looking for those guys too.

IMO, we don't have the speed to do this as effectively as we did last season. Our fastest/quickest guard is Trey and pushing the ball may be the best part of his game, but who else? Having said this, Trey could probably do this more if he wasn't looking for someone to draw a foul on that is trailing the play. It may aid us by getting additional fouls on the opponent, but it also prevents us from attacking when we have a numbers advantage.

I'm talking about pushing the ball in transition.

In terms of running the offense against a team's half court defense we have picked up the pace.
