Not a whole lot of change today.  Purdue slipped a few spots and moved from 7th to 10th in the Big Ten after their loss yesterday and Illinois and Michigan swap spots but everything else stays the same.  Good opportunity to get better tomorrow.

Illinois is dropping quite a lot of spots despite winning big, and Maryland is shooting up.  Nebraska is in danger of getting into the double digits with another win.

Ken still has us winning 8 games:

Projected record: 8-17 4-14

I don’t think it’s “magical thinking” to believe we’ll win 7-8 games in the B1G.   Our confidence will only GROW with wins vs GTech & Omaha A&M, plus our outside shooting will make us a threat against anyone. Sure it’s a tough league but we’re about to get salty too...

I don't think Georgia Tech is a gimmie game. But with the way our perimeter shooting is right now, no game is a gimmie game at the moment.

One Thanksgiving cupcake left, then things are gonna get real.  Michigan suffered a precipitous drop this week and Michigan State is shooting up to second in the league.  Purdue has made a big jump too after a 43 point win over the team that took Michigan to OT last weekend.

So we win a game and drop 45 places. I can hardly wait until we start losing games later in the year and begin to rise again. Don't you just love KenPom?

We dropped 2 places so far as I can see.

My bad, atskooc. I was looking at the AMSTS ranking. So I don't feel as bad about dropping with a win. I would still prefer to do that rather than rising with a loss which I find too confusing in my dotage. Actually in this pandemic environment, a team should rise in the rankings by simply playing a game and drop as additional punishment for causing a postponement because of viral exposure.

Getting really jacked up for the Creighton game in a week and 2 days. I know that we still have two games between now and then but man... that game is literally zero risk, high reward and with their KU game coming a few days before, it’ll be a good test for us.

But first, take care of GA Tech and FAMU

Same here. Should be a good game. Great for the state.

The good news is at this time last year, kenpom had us at #128 and we finished at #132.

THIS year, we're at 114, fellas. That's 14 spots BETTER than a year ago. AND, get this, because the league is stronger this year in the non-con, we're likely to benefit because of our strength of schedule.

So, don't look now, but we could very easily crack the top 110 before all is said and done.

I'm so excited I can barely contain myself.

Now where's the Mylanta?
