2021->2020 Elijah Wood SG is N

Recommended Posts

He was previously a one time 4 star ranked 105 in the 150 and slid down the rankings. He’s reclassifying and transferring to Hargrave Prep for 2021. He had previously committed to both Tulane and Rhode Island.

Blew up as a sophomore then made sort of a surprise commitment to Tulane.  Decommitted.

Ended up at Rhode Island.  This is where the twins from Maryland transferred to. Decommitted.

I think he's on his 3rd or so high school.

Looks like a long guard, can handle the ball, can shoot, rangy.  What we're looking for in guards.

However, it's going to be a minor miracle if he's on the roster on June 19, 2021.

Really no downside to this.

Here’s from an article on Elijah Wood in a Providence, R.I., newspaper dated April 29, 2020 (two days before Nebraska offered):

The Maryland native also claimed offers from the likes of Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Auburn, Georgia, TCU, Florida, Kansas State and Ole Miss. Wood was downgraded to a three-star recruit by internet scouting services after opting to sit out the grassroots circuit last summer.

Looks like Abdelmassih may have gotten a recruiting assist

Some background on this:

Last year Bryce McGowens and Elijah Wood were going to play at the same basketball prep school, Lincoln Academy, in NC before it shut down. Wood had to scramble to find a new school, which ended up being Berkmar HS in Georgia.
