hhcmatt
Nebraska Cornhuskers (7-17) vs Wisconsin Badgers (14-10) Date: Saturday Feb 15th, 2020 Time: 1:15 p.m. Arena: Kohl Center (17,287, 18th largest in D-I) Broadcast: BTN Half Time: Legends Weekend Wisconsin Info Head Coach: Greg GardLocation: Madison, WIConference: B1GNickname: Badgers Mascot: Bucky BadgerLine: Wisconsin by 6.5 Typical Rotation Depth: 8 KenPom rank: 32 Offensive Style: Slowly shootin' 3s Defensive Style: securing offensive rebounds/not fouling Key Loses: Former starting SG Kobe King has transferred Players to watch: Nate Reuvers The Junior is another in the line of mobile Wisconsin centers who can make 3s. Additionally he's an excellent shot blocker Players to watch: Micah Potter The Badgers have been integrating Potter into the offense since he became eligible mid-semester and offensively he's been a boost as he takes the load from Reuvers. Typically the two centers don't play together. Like Reuvers, Potter is a capable outside shooter. Roster points PG SG SF PF C Pct 1 0 D'Mitrik Trice6-0 184 Jr 23 Kobe King6-4 205 So 34 Brad Davison6-4 206 Jr 2 Aleem Ford6-8 217 Jr 35 Nate Reuvers6-11 235 Jr 17.5 The Badgers play around 8 guys with 6 dominating the minutes Trice is the PG but has really struggled from outside in conference. Charge enthusiast Brad Davison also has struggled from outside. He remains a dead eye FT shooter Ford, like most everyone else, hasn't been lighting it up from outside Sr shooting guard Brevin Pritzl remains an elite 3pt shooter and stout defender 6'7" Freshman Tyler Wahl has only hit one 3 during conference play and of course that was vs Nebraska Jr guard Trevor Anderson is guard depth Hoiberg Presser Cross will continue to start; Hoiberg thought that Yvan had one of his better games in a while coming off the bench. Burke has apparently lost weight during his illness and his availability is up in the air. The Skinny: Nebraska decided they were going to make Wisconsin beat them with the 3 and Wisconsin ended up killing them with the 3, knocking down a ridiculous 18 of them. The Huskers might dial this back a bit but expect Nebraska to once again concentrate on taking away Reuvers/Potter and hoping that the Badgers have a tougher time shooting with Adidas balls. A brief glance at their home/away splits in 2020 suggest they will. Last time out Dachon Burke scored 21 points in 36 minutes. It seems unlikely he'll have the stamina to repeat those numbers coming back from his bout with the flu. Expect Jervay Green to start once again and pick up that slack. Feels like Nebraska should play this one close and thus I like their chances to pull one out at home against this Wisconsin team that has struggled to score on the road in 2020 Prediction: Nebraska 74 - Wisconsin 67 View full article atskooc, Shawn Eichorst's Toupee and Handy Johnson 1 1

jimmykc
Watching KU getting beaten by Oklahoma today before NU's game starts. I was surprised to see Nebraska's last head coach show up on Oklahoma's bench! )And while a few of you pick yourselves up off the floor, remember that Jim Molinari was the interim head coach here for a few days before Fred took over.) He and Kruger played on the same college team (K. State) for a year, so go way back. And don't worry, its only the first half at the Phog. jimmykc
Never fear, Jayhawks lead at halftime. Fun fact of the day: KU ranks 292nd in free throw percentage in the NCAA and still surpasses the Huskers 64% to 60%.
