As reflected:  Field goal team ave slightly above opponents at .411 vs .395.  (Iowa field goal % is .482 and Northwestern .437 for in conference) 3 pointers  at 212 vs opp 201 and.382 % vs opp .333.   Free throw higher than opp and relatively  good at 0.744%.   Offensive average of 69.82 below opp 70.55.  Offensive rebounds total of 116 vs opp of 156.  Defensive rebounds better at 318 vs 286, combined ave of 39.5 vs opp of 40.2.   Assists of 146 below opp of 159.  Turnovers of 173 vs opp of 135.  Steals of 70 vs 92.  Blocks of 63 vs opp of 42.

The team continues with a weaker overall shooting percentage (too many missed lay ups) (3 point % is relatively better); Scoring average below opponents so defense needs to improve.  Offensive rebounding remains weak.  Assists level is below opponents level.  Turnovers are 38 above opponents level.  Steals 222 below opponents 92 level.  Blocks are 20 above opponents.     Team play and coaching all need to improve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Subsequent to the above stat summary, NE women now have lost two more games.  Losing to Iowa 60-76 with a 32.8% field goal percentage and 8 for 30 on 3 pointers and subsequently to Indiana 53-57 with a 36.1% field goal percentage and 5 for 18 on 3 pointers.  Included in the above stat table were the 33.3% field goal percentage and 8-30 3 point shooting  against Ohio State in the previous game to IA and IN.

Along with the other concerns,  the field goal shooting percentages below 40% significantly contribute to the inability to win games.  The players by now should know their best shooting spots on the floor and the offense should flow to a degree to allow players to shot from those spots.  Watching games it appears that NE has limited jump shot shooters from two point area such as the free throw area.   The tendency seems to be that everyone can shoot a three and at times it is caused by poor play clock management with the 30 second clock running down so someone has to huck up a three and  further diminishing the field goal ave.  All the missed lay ups through the year limit a better shooting percentage as well.

Meanwhile, Nebraska women are 5-8 in the conference with 5 games left to include Penn State; Northwestern; Ohio State; Illinois; and Indiana.   How many can NE win??  3 or 4???  FYI last year's team was 9-9 in the Big Ten!!!  Expectations are considerably lower at this point than where they were before the recent 4 game swoon!!  Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 wins is probably the ceiling unfortunately. Can’t see wins on the road.

I agree, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if we only won one of those games, or maybe none.  PSU and Illinois have got to be licking their chops thinking they can get a win against us - those are going to be tight games.

We will win both games at home by 10 or more and win one of the 3 road games.  End up 8-10 in conference and win one game at the conference tournament .  Hopefully that will get us  a first round game or two at home for the NIT.
