This would temporarily (or permanently) replace traditional spring games. So instead of a Red v. White scrimmage, we play two exhibition games against Central Michigan and South Dakota State. Now obviously those two schools would have to receive some type of payment.

I just don't see schools forking over $1.2M for a scrimmage that doesn't count towards a 'W' in the win column. Especially when even some P5 schools are already getting PPP loans from the government.

The payment would definitely have to be adjusted if it were to happen

Will never happen, but with COVID-19 and the fear of spreading through travel now would be the perfect time to scrap these ridiculous conferences and go back to ones based solely off of geography.

Imagine this:

- Nebraska

- Iowa

- Iowa State

- Kansas

- Kansas St

- Missouri

- Colorado

- Oklahoma

- Oklahoma St

Everyone is fairly close and you get to play every team in your conference every single year. Im 24yo btw, not just some old head.

Nebraska wanted football back, and the Big Ten gave it to them

The Cornhuskers got what they wanted — and more — on Saturday when the Big Ten released its 2020 schedule, seemingly finalizing its commitment to play a delayed, truncated season. The week-by-week schedule offered several interesting matchups and insights, including this: Nebraska's schedule is one of the hardest in the conference, if not the country.

Honestly-- we're the laughingstock of the conference right now.  We made such a stink about playing and have laid two duds.  It's ridiculous.

Yep, it certainly is embarrassing. Under Frost the team is very rarely ready to play. The penalties and the turnover issues are a direct reflection of poor coaching.

Mike Riley is long gone. Frost now has nothing to hide behind.
