Pitt, Wake and UNC all finished tied for last in the ACC last year. Wake played a road game in the B1G/ACC challenge, while UNC and Pitt had home games. One of those two, possibly?

ACC/B1G Challenge: Peanuts edition

Charlie Brown: Nebraska

Lucy: ESPN

Football: Any blueblood ACC opponent

No way in HELL are we getting Carolina in this deal.  Probably ever.

Pitt is a potential opponent in Myrtle Beach, so it's less likely we draw them.

Wake would have to play on the road two years in a row, but we all know that is not unprecedented in the ACC/B1G so of the three I'd be willing to put my money on them.

Clemson, Miami, Boston College and Virginia Tech are also likely to be candidates for ESPN to relegate to the "U" for the game in Lincoln.

Nebraska, Penn State, and Purdue are the only Big Ten teams with a winning record in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

Nebraska has yet to play Duke, Louisville, NC State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech.

Unless we’re a projected top 10 team I’d just forget about playing Duke, Louisville, or UNC.

I hope he ends up there. Was on the cover of SI when he was 15, just like Lebron was. Best player in the country as a sophomore. He’s a spitting image of Kevin Durant, but he’s probably better than KD was at this age. I think he’s the best high school player since Lebron. Assuming he reclassifies, there’s actually a chance Izzo has him for two years, since he won’t be eligible for the draft for two more years after this year (obviously he could go to the G-League or overseas).

Iowa with Garza returning and Illinois with Dosunmu and Cockburn returning.  Big 10 will be a bear again

CBS Sports has 4 BIG teams in the top 11, 7 in the top 25. 🥺

This would be the season for McCaffery to earn a 10 year extension that they don't need to give him.

Only 10 years?

Way to send a negative message to the recruits:  "Hey, we know the coach is on a short leash here but we sure hope you come play for us anyway"

Question for those bigger sports enthusiasts than me: Is there ever pressure for kids of the wealthy to walk-on?

To start off this there is no rule against it. When Grant Gibbs got his extra year of eligibility, Greg McDermott paid for Doug to go to school. Given how much Gibbs brought to the team and how much their winning effects his future contract, it was almost like an investment in himself. Most any of us would have done the same thing in the same situation. More power to him.

Thus it's more about how motivated you would be to pay for your kid to go to school. Dwayne Wade has all the money in the world.  He can afford to send Zaire to Marquette or any school with the same amount of financial inconvenience many here might experience buying a sandwich. Paying for his kid to play at Marquette isn't going to guarantee meaningful playing time. If his son earns a scholarship there, darn right he should get it. Now, they're full on schollies and they need one more for a situation that will benefit the team he's invested in and his son attends? Sure.
