So, hypothetically, would you rather have him this year and win 11 games with him instead of 8 without; or have him two years from now and win 23 instead of 22?

Or he might want to play this year regardless and not stay in college for another 2 years.  Never know what these kids are thinking.

That's a good point.  You'd have to think that if we knew going into a waiver that it'd be two this year or two future years and we still submitted the waiver that Stevenson wants to play now.

The moral of this story is, if you’re not sure how you stand with a new coach, leave right away. And if you do transfer at semester, claim an injury so you can get a redshirt year.

Isn't that the truth? Or have a family matter to attend to when one transfers back 'near' home..... it sure seems like a crapshoot with the NC two A.

Yeah, F the NCAA and their non-sensical rules.  Lets not punish the likes of North Carolina for blatant academic fraud but punish a kid for trying to find a new home after two different coaches he committed to left.

On the glass half full side, this team should be pretty darn good in year 3 when these freshmen and sophomores and sit out transfers are upper classman.  But still, F the NCAA!

Well spotted: Nebrasketball1979- rather than punish the guilty (N. Carolina) they take it out on athletes like Stevenson.

At least there is some consistency in the world. Once again the NCAA demonstrates its commitment to working against the interests of decent, young athletes. They never waver. They should be proud.
