All About the Corn Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 So I finally have a season ticket. I went to 10-12 games a year normally. Excited to the season to start. Looking at Huskers.com, I would think maybe the starters came from the coaching staff? Quote
kansashusker Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 Jasmine Cincore will be back in the arena for the exhibition as she is an assistant coach for Rodgers State. whoopdeedoo, HB, Red Don and 2 others 1 1 3 Quote
12dozen Posted November 1, 2019 Report Posted November 1, 2019 Excellent interview with Amy. Thanks Redsteve. Have to admit, I'm a little fired up. Liked hearing Kate singled out for improved play and conditioning. Newbies, bringing it in practice, was also good to hear. Time to sign up for BTN+ again. Side note... I still wish this team received more local media attention. Sounds like, on and off the court, this group represents our state/school, at the highest level. Go Get 'Em Ladies!! Red Don Posted November 2, 2019 Report Posted November 2, 2019 (edited) • Nebraska returns five starters and 10 letterwinners from last year's squad that finished 14-16 overall and 9-9 in the Big Ten Conference. • The Huskers return their top seven scorers from a year ago, including senior starters Hannah Whitish (10.1 ppg) and Nicea Eliely (7.9 ppg). Whitish is a two-time All-Big Ten selection, and Eliely is one of the Big Ten's best defenders. More at the Link! Red Don Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 (edited) (LOTS More @ the link posted by @redsteve above. Including the Box Score) Quote Lincoln - Kate Cain, Ashtyn Veerbeek and Sam Haiby led a balanced Nebraska attack with 12 points apiece as the Huskers rolled to a 97-33 women's basketball exhibition win over Rogers State in front of 3,289 fans on Saturday afternoon at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Cain, a 6-5, junior from Middletown, N.Y., added nine rebounds off the bench in 18 minutes of action to help the Huskers to a whopping 73-27 edge on the glass against the NCAA Division II Hillcats from Claremore, Okla. Veerbeek and Haiby each pitched in six rebounds, as eight Huskers grabbed five or more boards in the game. Edited November 3, 2019 by Red Don Quote

Cazzie22 Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 Is Kissinger injured or ill? Good morale game but when a team doesn’t have players bigger than 5’8 it’s a glorified scrimmage. Quote
Red Don Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 IIRC Matt & Jeff said Taylor Kissinger was recovering from a muscle injury that they (coaches) did not want to aggravate. Quote

whoopdeedoo Posted November 3, 2019 Report Posted November 3, 2019 don't mean any disrespect to Rogers St., but, nice to see what a good Big Ten team should do against a matchup like this. i also think it's kinda hard to take too much away from this game. wait and see how they do against better competition.
