Not much change at all, South Dakota State is creeping up the rankings.  Interesting little tidbit today, Ken gives us an almost 1 in 100 shot of going winless for the season:

Projected record: 10-21 4-16
Chance of unbeaten record:   0.00%
Chance of winless record:   0.9%

Not sure how he figures that.  Here's today's KenPom update.

I guess I should keep doing these for posterity's sake...but one postive note I guess is this.  We're so bad that even blowing us out can't stop Creighton from dropping.  Take that, Creighton!

Iowa jumps Indiana and Rutgers moves ahead of Minnesota and Nebraska makes a slight move up to #149.  Nobody moves more than 2 or 3 spots from their previous ranking.  Ken has Nebraska going 9-22 (3-17) and gives us a 2.3% chance of not winning a single conference game.

Make that a zero percent chance.

If you had told me before the season that we would be 1-1 after the first weekend of Big Ten play, I would have been really excited about the potential for the season.  If you had told me that a month ago I would have said you were clearly insane.  But here we are, and there still hasn't been a road win by any team in conference play.

The next couple of games is going to be as good of a measure as any how much this team has progressed since the season started, North Dakota and Texas A&M CC are the same type of competition as UC Riverside and Southern.  Can we get to January with 7 wins?  That will make the path to fewer than 20 losses a possibility, which in my mind should be considered the goal for the season right now.

One final note this morning; I had a dream about Coach Hoiberg last night.  I may be unwell.

Here's today's KenPom update.

And to think that we were a few missed free throws down the stretch against Indiana from potentially being 2-0 in conference with 2 Quad 1 wins....which would be 2 more quad 1 wins than several bubble teams on selection Sunday.  No, I'm not saying this is anything close to a bubble team but this team has shown they should be able to compete most nights against anyone in the BIG.....which is a far cry from where i thought this thing was heading after the first 20 minutes in Omaha!!!!!

So, I guess the answer is we haven't progressed. No corners turned, damn.

Was traveling yesterday so the update is a bit late.  But remember that whatever happens for the rest of the year, no matter what, we'll always have Purdue!  Also, Minnesota is shooting up like a rocket, sending Wisco into 11th.

Here's today's KenPom update.
