Team didn’t show up today.

Hard to complain about the season considering we made a regional with a roster that isn’t exactly loaded with talent.

With that said, after 8 years...zero Big Ten tournament titles, and 2-8 in regional play. The question marks around Darin Erstad still linger.

Again, it has talent, just super young talent.

Yeah I didn’t say we there was no talent at all. The young talent remains to be seen. We have been down this road before and “young talent” end up having marginal careers.

Remains to be seen if Erstad/Silva can develop guys like Gomes, Chick, Schwellenbach.

Two team, same situation. 9th inning, 2 outs, 3 run home run:

Nebraska/Oklahoma State:

Georgia Tech/Auburn:

The difference? One team today fought back after being down 4-0 in the B1st to win and survive another game. The other gave up 15 runs and only got one across home plate.

Yep, this season SHOULD serve as a foundation to build off of. Next year the hitting should be among best in the conf, and with the arms available (Gomes, Palkert, Shay, Perry, Blessie) Silva should be able to build a pretty decent rotation. I would like to see us move on from Kirby (I know Erstad probably won't). When you have 2 paid assistants, you need to use one of those positions for a guy well versed in coaching offense. Next season we should be Top 25 type club and make some noise in a regional.

Did Blessie get injured?  I would have thought today or the first Michigan game,  he would be used.

Not sure if they just weren't comfortable with him out there quite yet. He has great stuff, but might need a year to get his control right. He has a big league arm like Gomes though.

I understand not using him today as he hasn't pitched in forever.  I just didn't understand the Michigan game when they scored 18 runs not using him.  They used Perry that night.

Who's everyone pulling for tonight? Give me a roster with 8 Nebraska boys over Hail to the Victors any day.

Disagree.

1. Never Creighton.

2. It only helps Nebraska to have other Big Ten schools make it to the CWS and Supers.

With that said, maybe a Creighton run will add some pressure on Darin showing that it can be done in this state. And Creighton is far more difficult job.

Agree to disagree I guess. I just hate Michigan. And I want my boys from Holdrege and Kearney to keep winning.

P.S. all of the other B1G teams crapped the bed already. Highly doubt one B1G team making the supers is really going to shape perception. But to each their own.

Maybe not the Supers...even though I have seen that stat thrown out multiple times to discredit Big Ten baseball. But, you have to get to the supers to have a chance at the CWS.  Having more Big Ten baseball programs make the CWS would definitely be good for the conference.
