Huskers land 6'8" G/F freshman transfer from Western Kentucky

The lengthy PG from Toronto nearly recorded a triple-double vs Wisconsin last year. Lack of playing time played a factor in the transfer and Banton has 3 years of eligibility left after he sits out this year as a transfer.

Coach Fred Hoiberg on Dalano Banton

Quote

"Dalano brings a lot to the table with his combination of size and skill set. At 6-foot-8, he will be a tough matchup for opponents, as we can take advantage of his size and passing ability. He has shown the ability to play at a high level and having a year to grow and develop in our program will put Dalano in position to make an immediate impact when he becomes eligible.”

A little bit of JPJ driving to the basket in those highlights.

‘Was just going to type that. Body type, ability to finish. Does not seem to need to be a volume shooter though.

redshirt year should be great for him I would think

Check out a couple of his passes in that Wisconsin game.
He has the first highlight to start and heck of a move at the start of the 2nd half

The other thing i noticed was that he was in the paint a lot as a defender

Most important question re: Kent P.

Is it "duh-LAY-no" or "DAL-uh-no"?

Sounds like the 2nd one according to those videos

Also he does a half time interview and his Canadian accent is THICK

That one and whatever happens to Thor. Could potentially have 3 open

scholarships. Something to keep an eye on

I guess we have a lot more schollies to fill. Whoa.

I heard "DAL-uh-no" the first time and "duh-LAW-no" the second time. Then the sideline reporter addressed him as "duh-LAY-no." Oy. I don't think they know either.
