2019-20 Husker opponents

Yeah, it's not going to matter. But here's a quick peek at our Quad opportunities, based on current NET pseudo rankings. (Understanding, of course, that NU is #48 in NET right now, which seems just a weeeeeeeeeee bit off, so it may take a few more weeks before the NET rankings actually mean something.)

Bottom line: If by some major, major, major miracle we get this thing rolling at some point soon, we'll have plenty of Q1 and Q2 chances to make up for the early stumbles.

Gotta keep track because ya never know!  Besides... it’ll be good practice for the near future.  👀👀

Anybody with ESPN+ might want to check out the Georgia Tech game on right now.  The Ramblin' Wreck is in a tussle in the second half against KenPom #300 Bethune Cookman.

They look a lot like us.

It doesn't help that they're left without Alvarado right now. Georgia Tech hasn't played very inspiring basketball this season and I can't imagine their coach, Pastner, will be holding onto a job there much longer (all scandals aside).

Watched Maryland v Marquette today and I would suggest taking Maryland off the schedule this year.  They have long guys that will be able to guard us all over the floor and will board the heck out of us.  J Johnson (Utah transfer that chose Marquette) would have really helped us this year.  Does not score much but can guard the post and board. Maryland won big and held Howard down big time.

Maryland must be lights out defensively, as they held Ed Morrow scoreless.

Thought he and Howard would be a great one two punch with 3's raining down all over the place.  Turns out he can't shoot.  Who would have thought?

If he'd stayed, he would probably have added enough depth that we make the tournament once or twice the last two years and probably win a game there, and he would have been a legend.  Instead....

Michigan makes their debut in the AP top 25 this week at...#4.  That ties Kansas for the highest jump from unranked to ranked ever.  (KU did the same thing in '89)

Michigan gets the second most #1 votes (9) behind Louisville (48) (whom they play in the ACC challenge this week).

The preseason #1 team, Michigan State (#11), is now just the 4th highest rated Big Ten team behind #3 Maryland, #4 Michigan and #6 Ohio State.

Purdue, Indiana and Penn State are among the teams outside the top 25 receiving votes.  That's half the league, folks!

So you're saying that our win against South Florida maybe a pretty good win then.

It's not anything that is flashy and will stick out on selection Sunday.... but, for how we have played this year that was a pretty good win I think.  Certainly was right up there with George Mason in terms of quality.  Now we step up our quality meter tomorrow and then really step it up next week.
