Roster notes

  • Oft injured Eddie Curry who didn't play last time out vs Nebraska but has been starting over freshman center Daniel Oturu is a game time decision for this game.  He did not play in Saturday's game vs Michigan St.
  • Nana Anketen looks to be out for this game as he's not practiced for the last two days due to sickness

The Skinny: This is a Minnesota team that is scoring in the 50s-60s on the road in the conference so Nebraska doesn't need the sort of performance offensively it would have taken to beat Purdue here tonight.  The biggest key to beating Minnesota is minimizing their FT attempts as it supplements their anemic 3pt shooting.  Gabe Kalscheur is the only player on the team shooting over 30% for the year and over 28% in conference play. How much will Nebraska adjust from their 3pt preventing defense?

Defensively, it's the teams that limit those transition points that kill the Huskers.  Minnesota isn't necessarily that sort of defense.

Prediction: Nebraska 69 - Minnesota 63
