I thought the same thing the other day, but it's not as great as I remember it.

We're 0 of our last 3 against Michigan State.

Home: 1-3, Away: 2-3 since joining the Big Ten. (Home: 0-2, Away: 2-3 when Michigan State was ranked.)

Nebraska won 3 straight when Shavon Shields was ballin' - two of which were at the Breslin Center. Kind of wild to realize those happen to be the *only* three B1G wins by Nebrasketball over MSU.

"Consecutive" since then hasn't gone so well for NU. ((Gulp))

I think we also might have a better chance is they will be missing two guys.

That often messes up rotations, i.e.... Nebraska v Penn State this year with the flu hang over.

I hope NU can start on Thurs. like they did Mon. at IU. That would be amazing. Quick opening 5 minutes in the Big Ten is very important in how momentum plays out, gets the fans into it EARLY! I plan on Nebrasketball winning, hope this team proves my confidence to be worthy, same could be said for NU's hopes for B1G things happening confidence-wise the remainder of the way. GBR !!!

Copeland just posted an instagram story of him driving no words were spoken but the ?emoji tells the story. I think he's sick. ?

So this is on his Instagram story, not an Instagram post, so it will disappear.

Also I believe the sick emoji might be saying something else. He is saying that the song he is listening to makes him sick.

In the cleanest way I can describe it, the clip in the song that you can hear is about a girl who wants to hook up with him but is disgusting “down there” and probably has a disease. The song is pretty vulgar, so listen at your own risk, but it is “Negative Energy” by Trippie Red.

I did think it could be related to the song. This would be preferable.  Now I’m imagining the Michigan State coaching staff getting excited that he might be out.  Then they show a player the story and he’s like “He’s talking about the song coach.”

Izzo “What does it mean.”

Player “um...”

Cyrptic social media posts are one of my favorite things about basketball for some reason. So forgive me for trying to be the Woj of Instagram. ?

We have beaten better/similarly talented Michigan State teams with less talented Nebraska teams, correct?

I would say when Petteway and company took them by 9 in Easy Lansing, MSU had a better squad. That was one of my all-time favorite games. Pitch, TP, and Shields, plus Leslee were all huge that game! While we were good, that squad was less talented than this year's. They maybe had more reliable depth, but that's about it. That game also started our run to the Dance if I'm not mistaken.

They replay that game every so often on BTN as a Nebraska Classic - one of my favorites. Huge win that season that we had to have for our resume. Petteway hit a couple of unreal 3s late in the shot clock in the 2nd half.

And if I'm not mistaken, I think that was the game where Rivers was in the corner in the first minute or two, the students started the incorrect shot clock countdown, Rivers fell for it and threw one up ... and it went in for 3. Knew then it was going to be our night. ?

In my opinion, that run started with the win over the Aaron Craft led Buckeyes at home about a month earlier.  To that point in the Big Ten we had never beaten Ohio State home or away (we were 0-5 against them up to that point, losing by 31, 34, 26, 7 and 21).  We were also on a 5 game losing streak to that point and 0-4 in the conference.  That win sparked an 11-3 finish to the season.

The MSU win was smack dab in the middle of the run, but it was also the point where we all really started to believe we had a chance to make it to the tourney:

Scouting report on who will be covering Palmer

MSU's starting 3 in Josh Langford is out.

His backup is Kyle Ahrens who is very possibly out.

His backup is Fr Aaron Henry who has been playing minutes but has a Roby-esque foul rate.

His backup is Gabe Brown who plays spot minutes.

After that it's anyone's guess
