Palmer has 11 points, yes okay for him.  But his 9 RB, 7 assists and 3 steals were great.  I’d still say he played really well even though it didn’t show in the points column.  I’d prefer he got more assists, the team plays better and his individual drive and shoot game get better when the rest of the team is involved.

Exactly right. JPJ played great. Perfect team win scenario, let's do that again on Thurs.

Clemson was a pretty complete performance.

That Tiger win, and this Hoosier win, are what makes March Madness a legit possibility of a run for Nebrasketball. Need more B1G road wins, and an MSU beatdown at the hands of the 21-straight-home-winning Huskers on Thurs. wouldn't hurt?!

;)

A Quad 1 record of 1-4 doesn't really scream a #13 team.

But with that win, we're now 2-4 which is moving us in the right direction. Still many more opportunities to improve on that.

What I meant is the AP poll isn't used by the commit NET ranking is so I honestly don't know why everyone (including universities and news papers) thinks they are still so important. I know we need humans to tell us things like NU shouldn't quite be 13th right now but in college football we use the selection committee rankings once they come out. So why aren't we using the closest indicator of what the selection committee will determine. This ranking is why whoever FS1 hired to do bracketalogy has us at a 4 seed right now. Which fits perfectly as 4 seeds should be the 13-16 best teams in the country. As a 2nd opinion Joe Lunardi has us as a 6 seed.

13 13 Nebraska Big Ten 12-4 1-3 2-1 8-0

1-0

The main reason why AP rankings are important is that if you are ranked, your scores shows up on the ESPN bottom line about 10x as often or maybe more than if you are unranked.  That actually matters.

We are right where we need to be.  Looking at the conf schedule before it started I was thinking I’d love if we could get off to a 4-2 start but I’d have definitely taken 3-3. Well here we sit. Figure out a way to keep the home streak alive against Sparty on Thurs and there’s potential to go on a significant winning streak.

Yep, 4-2 would have been amazing; 3-3 seems to have fit the schedule, it just took an end-around to get here. Thursday could be a huge momentum boost for Nebrasketball to remain undefeated at The Vault. Mojo would officially be back ! GBR !!!

Those were a pretty low-level highlight package. As in, it appeared to be thrown together. The very next package was Indiana-Michigan, which was "extended highlights" that appears to be 60% longer as well. Oh well, Nebrasketball still curb-stomped Indiana at Assembly Hall. ?

Which is exactly why it shouldn't be used by ESPN because it shouldn't matter.

The team that was up 18 in the first half was what I was expecting to see more of this year. Moving the ball, cutting with purpose, active and locked in defensively.

Many, including me, were hard on Cope after PSU. He came to play tonight. Kudos to him. That was vintage Glynn Watson tonight - on both ends. We are very tough when he scores the ball. JPG had a nice all-around game, despite continuing questionable shot selection. He picked it up on D and went to the glass. He should have been on the line at least 3 or 4 times but didn't get the whistle (which Langford did all night).

We were able to withstand Roby's foul trouble. He affects the game in so many ways, even when he doesn't score. Thomas Allen has been playing lights out. He's the perfect complimentary piece on this team. Tanner Borchardt - what a great, gritty performance. He's such a smart player. Hope his root canal goes well and that he's ready for Thursday. We will need him against Ward, Tillman and co.

GBR! And, by the way, after looking at the garbage message boards from some other schools, I'm thankful we have HHC.

He also had five turnovers.  The ball is in James hands a lot, so we can anticipate some turnovers, but a couple of them were somewhat reckless; that is why I said he played okay.  He also played good defense.  So perhaps I should have said he played good...not great, but good.

I gotcha dude, I didn’t take into account turnovers, he does dribble into steals sometimes.  I’m just talking about the fact that he doesn’t have to score 30 to be a game changer and I think this game showed it.  REGARDLESS!!!  Big W tonight and I think we all are loving it!!!  :)

Oh yeah, this was what JPJ did quite often last season. I recall a game in which Palmer had 9 assists, a year ago. He needs to become an astute facilitator more often. And Glynn & Tom can take some of his longer shots instead.

Agreed, he gets in that “I have score mode” which I can understand from a guy who is going to play in the NBA...However him, Tanner and NANA were those low key, not flashy guys tonight.  Tanner especially was awesome for 9 and a few rebounds and some steals, can he get a toothache for every game?  Lol

The Indy Star doesn't have very nice things to say about last night's game:

https://amp.indystar.com/amp/2559936002

"This IU loss was disgustingDuring this disaster, IU fans couldn’t leave Assembly Hall fast enough. Which improved the atmosphere, honestly, because while they were here, they were booing."

"...blowout loss to Nebraska, the darkest moment of an IU basketball season."

"...if it sounds like I’m pushing the panic button, good for you. You’re listening to me."

"This was their third straight loss, but it was nothing like the first two, losses on the road to two of the Big Ten’s top three teams, No. 2 Michigan and Maryland. Those losses are bad because, when you’re IU, any loss is bad."

"But this loss was bad because the opponent was Nebraska, the location was Assembly Hall, the score was lopsided and the fan base was booing. Then leaving. The exodus began with 3½ minutes left..."

"They left, and while I’m not a big believer in fans leaving early — and I hate it when fans boo the home team — the Hoosiers gave them no reason to stay."

"This brutal stretch, which could see the Hoosiers slide from their current No. 24 ranking to the wrong side of the 2019 NCAA tournament bubble, starts Saturday. At Purdue. Oh, things could get worse, IU fans. Things could get a whole lot worse."

-big boy game by tanner tonight. Can you imagine if Brady takes the leap that he has from last year to this year? Just on bein in the right spot like tanner always seems to be would do wonders for Brady.

-anyone hear is Amir just working on getting his legs back still?

-speaking of Brady I still hope to see him in every game

-Tom is going to be such a fun player once his role increases, I suspect there’s a lot of untapped dribble drive in his game

-the BS first two fouls on roby prevented this from being a 30 point blowout road win vs a top 25 team. As it stands it was a wire to wire blowout win vs a top 25 team in a top ten venue in all of basketball. With mr moos in the building. Suck it miles haters

That should happen either way. In my book we are already ranked 13th before this game. Hoping for a top 10 match Thursday.

Well, enjoy your top ten NET ranking then because we win both games we WILL be ranked top ten in that particular metric.

I will be investing 2 hours tomorrow to listen to Kent's call where he yells "dagger" and "bangarang"repeatedly while hoping he calls Indiana fans a bunch of "jackwagons".  It will be a glorious two hours!

He uncorked a “Holy Christmas” last night after the 2nd Glynn 3 in row put us up big.
