fwiw, listened to sam m on TBL today. in his amateur opinion, believes amy williams is a very good coach---and very good for nebraska. however, he believes coach williams has stuck with this starting lineup too long.

Another armature opinion....

In the old days when I coached...I always started the best 5 (basketball), best 9 (baseball),...or what ever the sport. Get your best shot out there and try to be competitive immediately in the game.  Get a lead and put the pressure on the other team.

Then play subs as possible....everyone played, some more than others.  Sometimes, not always, would alternate starters a little to give everyone a chance. But alternated only one or two for any given start.

Put your best on the floor to start the game. It's been long enough into the season to see (observing them play) that our top 5 aren't starting.

The highest number on the scoreboard wins. Put your top guns out there loaded and ready for bear.

just for the record, "amateur opinion" were sm's words?

matt coatney just asked coach williams about her starting lineup (on sports nightly). believes the upper classmen are playing a little "tight". trying too hard to do everything they can to get that "w".

Rutgers imploding?

in the past week, two players have been dismissed (Caitlin Jenkins and Ciani Cryor), a transfer player’s past arrests (Alexis Morris) have been reported and Hall of Famer, C Vivian Stringer, took a leave of absence.

probably be ok (in the long run), but, can be consequences when you accept "high risk" players.

It was basically 25 years ago that C. Vivian Stringer was last at the helm at the Univ. of Iowa. That seems kinda incredible, in retrospect.
