I agree about Copeland.  I am a little surprised he isn't getting more run for the NBA.  6'9 guy who can shoot and has shown some moves with a nice pull up jumper.

Also anybody else get stuck having to walk out the bottom door from the 300 level and walking halfway around the arena to get to stairs that went back up to the bridge?  For some reason the doors were locked with security not allowing anybody to exit through the main concourse level.

Moos commenting about how we need to win 22 games and us having analytics that showed we could get a 6 seed with 19 wins gives one the impression that the AD isn't very involved.  That being said, the last guy got fired because the football team didn't win and because the football team didn't win, not to mention because the football team didn't win.

Probably about as much involvement as he has with tennis and golf.  He's the hitman in that he can hire and fire...but other than that little to no involvement.  I'm guessing he's going to be hands on with football and just leave it to the people below him to deal with anything involving other sports.

I did... some old guy was ripping the lady security guard after that!

Seems to me that Frost must be on the hot seat then.

yup...and he was at a lot of the Men's games as he sat down a few rows from me.

He has not sit in his normal seats yet this year. He sits in the seat right in front of me. Now I would not be surprised if he has been up in the suites working the boosters like he probably should be sometimes. The old AD came to games but never talked to anyone and not sure he even was watching the games most of the time

We scored 75 points on only 46 field goal attempts, but made up for that with 30 free throw attempts. We were averaging a little over 59 FG attempts coming into this game. I remember looking at the clock with a little over 3 minutes left in the first half, and at that point we had only 15 shot attempts.

Borchardt had some real quality minutes at the beginning of the game after Roby got poked in the eye. The big Euro guy scored on his first possession, but after that got nothing on him. Tanner also blocked a shot and grabbed a few rebounds. More impressive to me was how he redirected cutters and played help defense off of the ball. He understands his role and has a high basketball IQ. It's nice to see him contributing and having success.

Amir gave us quality minutes on the defensive end in the first half and played a nice floor game. If he could shoot he'd see an expanded role. When Illinois went zone, Harris went to the bench.

Ditto to all of the "Illinois is hard to watch" comments. If they are playing on tv, I will watch another game. It is aesthetically unpleasant and is more like watching rugby, team handball or some other sport which is not basketball. It's really quite remarkable that Underwood can get them to play like that for nearly every possession. There must be a substantial fear factor in playing for him.

Not an issue...but just curious.  Would Kent's thing been a good time for Moos to make an appearance at a basketball game?  Mark Boehm is important and all, but is a Moos appearance at basketball meaningful or is he just going to be a football only AD for appearances?

its an issue in my opinion,  I wanted to call in on sports nightly one night and ask him if he had been to any games yet..

I wasn't planning on sharing this, but since Moos's name and his lack of appearances has been noticed, here we go.

Over Thanksgiving, I was talking with a family member with significant ties to the University. Without going into great detail or revealing who he is, I would say he is towards the top in his department. He spoke of some issues pertaining to Moos, and he said that he wouldn't be surprised if we are searching for a new AD after January 1. I was somewhat shocked. I will be curious to see if anything comes of it.

What could possibly be so bad that they would want to do that? That would be so bad for optics.

Yeah, that is all over Lincoln.   Hope they work it out.
