Bluejays were on cruise control until Holtmann started having his guys switch everything on defense with about 2:30 left down 60-56.  After that point Ohio State finishes on a 13-0 run.  For the most part though, it seemed like a pretty pedestrian effort from the Buckeyes.  I expected them to win running away.

Either way, good for the B1G, getting the first series win in Gavitt Games history!

Penn State getting off to a great start in the nightcap.

Good thing the B1G didn't need RU to come through ... because they're not very good.

RU apparently didn't get the memo that B1G teams are all supposed to show vast improvement this season over last season.

Really... another pretty good night overall for the Big 10.  Really good win by Iowa and a pretty good win by Purdue.  Not going to lie.  The Big 10 will be a grinder this year.  We may get 7-9 teams in this year.

Not just may, but likely. In fact, Bart Torvik shows 8 bids and 9 bids are the two most likely scenarios. There is a 91% chance that the Big Ten gets between 7 and 10 bids. Getting 9 or 10 bids would be extremely impressive.

Illinois had a tough draw. PSU totally blew it. They had no business losing to DePaul anywhere.

Rutgers is, well, Rutgers.

By and large, B1G did well, as our only stumbles were at the bottom of the conference. Everyone else middling on up did their jobs with a vengeance. All in all, a success.
