My Top Five, in no particular order.  How can a parent love one child more than another....

Elton John.  Devaney Center 1980.  Opened the show with "Funeral For a Friend"

Three Dog Night.  Peony Park early 80's.  All 7 original band members.  Front row seats and beers were flowing.  Sat next to Clay Michaels. (See if anyone remembers that name...)

Jethro Tull.  Civic Aud  81ish.  Unfrickinreal.

Bob Seger.  PBA.  Couple years ago.  Saw him at Century Link a year or two before.  Much better the 2nd time.  He had health issues while in Omaha.

Simon and Garfunkel with a special appearance by the Everly Brothers.  Quest Center a year or so after it opened.  Awesome seats.  Awesome atmosphere.  Awesome music.

I knew I forgot a big one.  Neil Diamond at the Civic Auditorium circa 1995.

And the Undertones. Don't forget the Undertones.

My takeaway: Just about everybody except @tcp has really good taste.

Not the best audience for those, true. But half of those were seriously entertained by the last working band I was in in the mid 80s. I really, really wanted "HaHa Death Camp". :) We wound up being Sid and the Four Skins...heh heh. And lasted for about 5 gigs.

Hank Snow

LCD Soundsystem... Nice I like them a lot, but don't consider them Rock and Roll.  I also really like Stevie Wonder... He was listed on here, but he is definitely not RnR.

Since many of you often use rock and roll clips in your various posts, I would like to know your favorite rock groups.  Many of you seem to be into the music scene (at least the classic rock groups!) So who do you like?  I will start with my favs (not really in order)

1. The Beatles (of course)

2. The Clash

3. The Replacements

4. INXS

5. Green Day

6. Death Cab For Cutie

As you can see the 60's British invasion, the 80's punk/new wave sound and modern and classic alternative for me.

I saw the Replacements at the Drum Stick around 1984 or 1985! Awesome show!
