Nebrasketball1979 Posted March 11, 2018 Report Posted March 11, 2018 Hell Yes...a hearty welcome to Mr. Davis and another recruiting win for Miles. I hope this news is a prelude to the icing on the cake tomorrow afternoon! Quote
throwback Posted March 11, 2018 Report Posted March 11, 2018 Nice! Need a big guard next season, especially on the defensive end. Love the potential of kid like this who's used to winning and has been around great players. Given a chance to let his game come to the forefront, rather than deferring, he may turn into something really special. B-town hoopsfan 1 Quote
REDZONEDAN Posted March 11, 2018 Report Posted March 11, 2018 Is he supposed to be a good shooter, in particular from 3? Quote
Huskerpapa Posted March 11, 2018 Report Posted March 11, 2018 Heck yes!!!!!!!!!!! This kid is a sleeper. He is a great pick up!!!! Quote
49r Posted March 11, 2018 Report Posted March 11, 2018 My immediate reaction when I saw the picture @Swan88 tweeted out after the PSU game was this; "momma looks like she's thinking he might not know it yet but NU is the place for him". Silverbacked1 and Swan88 1 1 Quote
Dead Dog Alley Posted March 11, 2018 Report Posted March 11, 2018 He only averaged 3.4 ppg as a sophomore in St. Louis...but a lot of that was probably due to him backing up Jayson Tatum. Tyler Cook was also on that team. https://www.prephoops.com/2016/04/recruiting-report-karrington-davis-2018/ bigFRED 1 Quote
B-town hoopsfan Posted March 11, 2018 Report Posted March 11, 2018 Averaged 19 ppg his last season in St. Louis I believe and was considered a top 100-150 guy before a knee injury a few years ago, could be the kinda guy we normally don’t get a chance at outta high school Quote

36red Posted March 11, 2018 Report Posted March 11, 2018 Seems to be a very similar player body type wise to Nana Akenten. Nana is probably more offensive minded and Davis more of a defender. Silverbacked1 1 Quote

cjbowbros Posted March 11, 2018 Report Posted March 11, 2018 What I’m getting from these articles is that he never played this year is that right? If not what we’re his ppg last year. Quote
Faux Mike Peltz Posted March 11, 2018 Report Posted March 11, 2018 Said that the Penn state game and PBA atmosphere sealed it. Also good relationships with Hunter and Miles. Love this addition!! hhcmatt 1 Quote
bball23 Posted March 11, 2018 Report Posted March 11, 2018 What I like is that his team in Florida had like 8 D1 players and 4 of them were top 100 kids. So he had to bring it everyday in practice. And facing good competition every day can only help with the speed/athleticism he will see at the D1 level. Maybe he can be our next James Palmer! HolyBobpilgrimage 1 Quote
Handy Johnson Posted March 11, 2018 Report Posted March 11, 2018 I can only take this as a sign that the Basketball Gods are squarely in our corner today... Quote
aphilso1 Posted March 11, 2018 Report Posted March 11, 2018 I REALLY like this pickup. His junior year game film is exceptional. That alone would probably be enough to get me excited about signing Davis. But perhaps even more important is the experience he gained this last year in Florida. It shows that he wanted to challenge himself, rather than just being the biggest fish in a small pond. It gave him an opportunity to compete and learn every day from some of the best high school players in the country. And perhaps most important of all, it gave him a glimpse of college life already by moving away from home. He has essentially lived out what most players experience during their freshman year: learning to live outside the nest and transitioning from "big man on campus" to "just another guy on the team." My guess is he is a year ahead of his appears in the maturation process. I'm stoked! Quote
