I bolded bid stealing leagues. Cheer for the team listed except for big 10.

What criteria did you define at bid-stealing? I'd almost put Loyola-Chicago, East Tennessee State, Vermont, South Dakota State, Buffalo, and Louisiana in that borderline category if they lose in the finals. More Vermont and Louisiana than anything.

I was lazy and used the bubble criteria listed by cbs, sb nation and espn. Teams you listed aren't listed as bubble teams at this point, so I figured they were a hard OUT if they didn't win their conf. Only one I saw mentioned on any of those sites was New Mexico State, but even SB Nation said that ship has sailed.

Yeah I agree with all of these except probably East Tenn State. None of these are "likely" bid stealers but are teams that would be up for consideration and are worthy of keeping track.

Also Andy Katz had the same confs listed as one bid leagues. I think were safe in assuming its impossible for any of those teams stealing a bid.

I also think that Nebraska has a better overall resume than those teams.  Better wins and less bad losses.  A strong schedule overall.  I think Nebraska trumps any of those teams if they are on the board come selection Sunday.  But then again... what do I know?  I’m just an armature not named Joe...

Someone may wish to post Basnett's piece in this morning's LJS. It succinctly summarizes who we should root for and why, where to see the games, and lots of other good stuff. The most interesting fact I gleaned is that Conference USA is playing their tournament in Frisco, Texas. I lived in Texas for five years and drove through the state numerous times and have never heard of Frisco. Is that where "The Last Picture Show" was made?

How about a 71 page thread about it?

Frisco is where NCAA HQ is located, FC Dallas is there, and I think the Cowboys offices are technically located there. They had a college football bowl game there last year too. And if I'm not mistaken, there are a lot of (either) baseball or basketball events there. Never been. But I've heard that name more often over the years than I thought I would.

@jimmykc do you suppose Frisco got it's name from the Frisco Lines Railroad?

Interestingly enough, the railway never got anywhere remotely close to San Francisco.  It did, however, have a terminus in St. Louis, so at least they got that part right.
