Somebody pointed out to me that on the final free throw attempt by Maryland there were 2 violations. The first one being when the free-throw shooter stepped into the lane prior to the free-throw hitting the rim. The second was when one of the players behind the free-throw line moved into the lane prior to the free throw hitting the rim.

This should have been called by the ref. This miss by the refs could have cost us the game. I'm not sure if these rules are really enforced that closely or not.

Rule 8 Section 5 Article 1 c,d, and g respectively.
"The free-thrower shall not break the vertical plane of the free-throw line with either foot until the ball strikes the ring, flange or backboard or until the free throw ends."

"The free-thrower shall not leave the semicircle before the try contacts the ring, flange, or backboard or when the free throw ends."

"Players not in a legal marked lane space shall remain behind the free-throw line extended and behind the three-point field-goal line until the ball strikes the ring, flange or backboard, or until the free throw ends."

Would explain how the shooter got to the rim as fast as the inside guy on the lane.

Glynn also had a foot injury that prevented him from practicing.  His shot continues to be flat, but right now he simply needs to get the negative vibes out of his head and let his talent take over.  His defense last night was exceptional.  How he blocked that three point attempt towards the end of the game was amazing.  I have no clue how he got to that ball???

Btw, in that video segment at halftime where they show the guys having a taste of something either from Australia or Iceland (I forget the name of the segment), last night they were eating what we referred to as "Australian chocolate wafers."  I don't know if they weren't allowed to call them by name, but those were Tim Tams!  I have a cousin who travels to Australia a couple times a year and she always brings back Tim Tams for the kids.  They are the shiz-nit.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks this.  It goes from a generally high crowd buzz to hush quiet in but a couple seconds, so that the silence becomes thunderous.  It has to be distracting to a certain degree.
Don't all home arenas do that though.

Does anyone have a video replay of Glynn's block?

I couldn't find this

I saw it on the highlight on one of the local sportscasts. He appeared to look at bench and raise his hand. And he came out shortly after that. I figured Miles was trying to get him a break until the under 4 time out but unfortunately that dead ball took forever to happen.

On the post game radio show, Miles told Kent that Kenya made the call/suggestion to get Palmer a quick blow.  Tim said that Kenya thought it would be prudent to get him off his legs for a few minutes so that his legs were a little fresher at the end when shooting free throws to ice it.  I am just really thankful the guys pulled this one out.  if Nebraska would have lost this game, I would not have wanted to hear from the vocal minority how Miles is an awful game manager and how he should be fired for blowing this game and potentially not getting this team to the tourney.

This - why he was back at the scorer's table before the break.

I can't remember if it was channel 8 or 10. I was trying to find the score of how my hometown high school girls team and was going back and forth between the 2.

I think this might be it. http://www.klkntv.com/clip/14124920/huskers-top-maryland

Can't tell if that's Palmer signaling to come out or if it's him pointing at the bench mob

How in the heck did Hurter not secure that blocked shot!?!?  That was huge for us.

That's the "ET" factor. Dude is the ultimate team player/glue guy/hustle player. Max effort all the time. One of our best late pick-ups of all time. Love the toughness he brings.

The importance of that block by Watson can't be overstated. We were only leading by 1 up to that point in the game, with just a shade over a minute left in the game.

I know that people are down on Glynn but his leadership and timely play making is one of the reasons we are where we are right now.

Roby played a man size game today. He was getting battered down low by the Maryland big man Fernando. He is probably sore today.

Maryland is a very talented team and it is surprising that their record isn't better than it is.
