throwback
Crazy turnaround - Wisconsin scores 1.83 pts per minute for the first 30 minutes ... then scores 0.8 ppm the last 10 - less than half the first 30 min NU scores 1.47 ppm for the first 30 minutes ... then scores 3.0 ppm the last 10 - more than double the first 30 min You just never see those kinds of turnarounds over such long time spans. NU has had some crazy finishes under Miles - the huge comeback from down 13 in the final 7 minutes at Maryland last year, the comeback from 16 down at half vs Iowa his first year when he didn't sub in the 2nd half, and blowing open the NW game in the final 7 minutes this season. Also the comeback at PSU this season to get to OT. But I don't remember flipping a double-digit deficit to a double-digit win in the final 10 minutes before and on the road, no less. NU has probably done it at some point, but certainly not with so much on the line ... and playing a 4th game in 8 days on 4 different courts. Amazing effort that shows how special this team is. A lot of Roby's fouls come when he's trying to clean up after someone else's defensive error; and I hate it when a ref does the old Leslie Nielsen umpire routine from Naked Gun when calling a foul on the Huskers. 2. One of my favorite plays of the night came in the last couple minutes: one of Wisconsin's bigs got the ball in front of the basket, with no Husker in front of or beside him; he went up for a two-hand dunk, except that Watson, standing behind him, went up first and blocked it from behind! Nebraska got the rebound. Heck, it was Watson himself who came down with the board (and drew a foul at the same time). AuroranHusker
And the kid that Glynn blocked on that play was the only player for Wisconsin to score a basket in the final 6:45.... and it wasn't Happ, it was Iverson. In fact, Happ didn't score a bucket from the field in the final 14 min.

We have the best player and the best team. Love it more! It was funny, the color guy I think was a former Badger player (no bias there, right?) and he had to eat his words a couple of times last night. One was particularly hilarious. One time, he made the gushing comment that Happ was far and away the best player on the floor. Happ had just scored and we were having trouble stopping him and they started showing graphics of how close to his career high for points he was. And I look down at my gametracker thing on ESPN a few minutes later and it's like, wait a sec, Palmer has scored one more point than Happ this game, so you wanna revisit that comment? No? The hilarious one was he was talking later in the first half about how the Badgers had to be pretty happy that they had a built up a buffer (i.e., had built a comfortable lead) in spite of maybe not playing the best. And in literally the very next breath, the play-by-play guy says "And with that, Nebraska gets their first lead of the game." Yeah, about that buffer ... Stephen Bardo played at Illinois in the late 80s. I think he's calling a game tonight at Iowa, so I doubt he does a ton of prep. But he loves him some "man-sized rebounds." lol
hhcmatt
I didn't see Dave Hoppen play growing up but I suspect that Ethan Happ's impact, game and career looks very similar. Happ's biggest issue, besides FTs, is that most of his surrounding cast wouldn't be in Nebraska's rotation. Here is where he projects in Wisconsin's record books http://barttorvik.com/happ-watch.php

Handy Johnson
Roby needs to polish his low post moves. Work on a turn around "J", a baby hook. A handful of simple moves will TOTALLY re-shape his game. TourneyBound and B-town hoopsfan

khoock
Still insane to think just a few weeks ago we seemed destined for another midseason collapse. With the Jordy debacle heading into the Penn State loss, I had such a bad feeling of "welp here we go again". But wow have we turned it around. With a nice little break to freshen up and a favorable schedule to finish the season we are primed for a strong finish.
